For those that have had the Poly's room service, what did you order & did you love it? I love room servie, but we usually stick to pizza, because I am afraid I will not like what I get.

We have ordered from room service at the Poly during both of our last trips. I love the BBQ chicken quesadilla! I know that it is not on the menu at allearsnet.com but I was able to order it last time. I have also ordered the fruit and cheese platter. Makes a wonderful snack. My DH ordered the Mauna Loa Club and also thought it was really good. Considering the quality of the food you get, it really is a great deal. We ordered one night and paid about $40 for the 4 of us. That's about the price of a lunch for us at Disney and we didn't have to leave the room. Give it a try!

Thanks I will give this a try!

One night we got back to the Poly late and ordered room service. It was just pizza and salads, but they came in and set it up all fancy, it was more like eating out than in the room.

Another vote for the BBQ quesadilla. It isn't on the new menu anymore but all you have to do is ask when you call up to order. The wings are good as is the caesar salad with chicken. DD loves the room service grilled cheese better then the ones in Kona's so every trip she orders it whether we get something or not!

We really enjoy Polynesian room service but I miss having the larger table that could be set properly.

The CMs who take the orders and those who deliver and pick up the trays are all great. Plus it is fast.

We enjoy the cheeseburgers, club sandwich, kids pasta, fruit plate (my daughter had this as a dinner this trip), soups...really everything we've tried. We haven't ordered the macadamia crusted mahi mahi from room service yet but think that's a great addition to the menu.

And you can order the famous Tonga Toast for breakfast. :cool1:

We have had the macadamia crusted mahi mahi at Kona's. The time we had it was kind of fishy tasting. The chef had left the dark skin on when cooking. It was really nasty so I avoid that now.

We've had the macadamia coated mahi mahi at Kona many times. Never had it with the skin on though.

We loved the first version best. A year or so ago, it became sort of soupy. We had it last week and it is no longer soupy but the nuts aren't ground as finely. Very tasty though and Kona is so flexible. Two of us wanted it with rice and another with mashed potatoes. No problem at all.

One of these trips, we'll try it from room service. :flower:

I can't believe the chef left the skin on either. Everyone knows that is a no no! Must have been a bad night. I really miss the wasabi mashed potatoes at Kona's.
