I would like one of those white chocolate Mickey Mouses with the tuxedo strawberries sent to my room.

We will be checking into the Poly around 10:30/11 am but will then be going to the parks, not to return until after IllumiNations. So I am thinking we won't see our rooms until then (unless I really have to).

I don't want the Mickey to get funky without refrigeration sois there a way I could ask for it to be delivered shortly before we come home?

Would I call Poly Room Service or GF Bakery? Does anyone have the current phone numbers? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all!!!

I believe you order that through the WDW Florist who does all the inroom gifts, flowers and food items that are not on the room service menu but don't count on being able to specify a time for them to be delivered, you can try but they usually get it out some time on the day you ask for.

Actually, when I called WDW Florist to order the same thing (choc. covered strawberries) they told me that they don't do that and you have to call the resort. So I called the Polynesian and asked to be connected to room service. It actually took me 3 calls to get to someone who knew what I was talking about. I was able to get the "Romance Package" which costs about $35.00 and it's chocolate covered strawberries and some other assorted chocolates. The Mickey was around $50.00 I think. Try calling the resort directly. It worked for me. :love1: (my 2 year old son clicked that)!

I am pretty sure I saw them on the room service menu at the Poly last month.

Try there.

I have the room service menu here and there are none of those things on it. When we got ours it had a tag with it from the Florist. I know concierge ordered it but I am not sure who to order it from if you are not staying conceirge and they say the Florist cannot take the order.

Steve,

I think the new room service menu from AllEars is fairly recent. I believe it has been updated within the last two months. I also called both WDW Florist AND the Polynesian. It wasn't until I spoke directly with a CM from Polynesian room service that I was able to get the Romance Turndown package. Maybe this is something new that they've started to be in line with the offerings from the Grand Floridian? I know I've read lots of posts by people that were staying at the Polynesian but wanted some of the items from the GF bakery. So maybe the Polynesian has "stepped up to the plate" so to speak.

When we return from our stay, I will post what the Romance Turndown was like and I'll also try to post pictures. I can also send you a copy of any room service menus that I get.

Mahalo!

Anne

Thank you for the help, everyone!
I don't go until December so I have time to call around.
Anne, let us know how the Turndown goes!
Thanks!

LuLu,

I'll post a full report when I return!

BTW, where in NJ are you? I'm in Mount Laurel.

If it wasn't on the room service menu it was on a special services menu in my room on my table in the Poly LVC just a couple of weeks ago - I am sure of it as I remember reading it and thinking these are the strawberries that everyone makes a fuss about. I would have taken the menu with me had I thought it would be an important resource.

Those options sound like great additions to the room service menu. :sunny:

I don't believe they were on the menu yet when we were there mid May. Or we could have just had an older menu. The special things were the same as they had been for some time....dinner with wine, etc..

Have fun, scanne. I'll be watching for your report.

We love Polynesian room service. So much so that we are starting to include it in our plans. :teeth:

Sounds like something new for the menu. Thanks for the info Anne and Liz.
