Poly Regular Lagoon view or Garden View Concierge??

This will be our first trip to the Poly. We are splitting our stay with the AKL and are staying Concierge at AKL. I believe Poly lagoon view concierge is substantially more than AKL's concierge. So here is my dilema, since we've never been to the poly, should we stay in a lagoon view room, or upgrade to a garden view concierge.

Since we've never been to the Poly, I was thinking how great it would be to stay with a view of the castle.

I'm so torn.

We've stayed at AKL concierge but not Poly. I'm planning on splitting our next stay with AKL concierge and poly lagoon view. I've read the views over the lagoon are incredible and I can't imagine the concierge at the poly being better than the AKL food, ambiance, and cappuccino machine (for the price).

Perhaps someone else has more info.

I posted this same question just a few short months ago to help with our decision. I got many responses both ways. We opted for the gardenview concierge over the regular lagoonview since we never did concierge before. The concierge was very nice. We have a 4 yo and the food and drinks made it very convenient. Don't get me wrong, I love rooms with a view. (We just came back from Jamaica and paid 300.00 extra to look at the ocean) But the castle is quite a ways in the distance. Its not like you're right on top of it. And you can go to the lounge to see the fireworks. Its a difficult decision, but we liked the concierge over the view and would probably do it again, in this case.

I am so torn with this decision. Tikiman's website makes the lagoon view so appealing. Especially never having been to the Polynesian before.

I guess I'll have to see when the codes, ap rates come out for May.

I really want a lagoon view. But since my MIL is paying for this trip I may never get to do concierge again.

Have never done concierge before but have had a lagoon view room at the Poly. All I can say about the lagoon view is that it is amazing! I think it would have to depend on if you think you would take advantage of all concierge has to offer. I'm sure that either way you'll be very happy!

Just returned from our second stay at the Polynesian garden view concierge. The concierge services are what tipped us into the garden view. For our family having the food and drinks available made all the difference. To be honest we weren't in the room that much unless we were sleeping or just coming in or going out. Whenever we wanted to relax we sat in the lounge and enjoyed the view there or on the beach.

I know others feel just as strongly about the view.

There are no wrong answers. Just whatever works best for you.

Whenever we go back we will still go for the garden view. Works best for us.
