Poly question about room requests

I just read somewhere that the Poly no longer takes room requests as of last year. Is this true? Can this person be right? I can't understand why the Poly would be different then the other resorts that do take requests. I know there are no guarantees with requests but it sure is nice to try to get the location you want. So does anyone know for sure? Tikiman? Thanks!

I don't think this is true. I know that I have put in requests for my stay coming up and my travel agent did it all and there were no problems. Worst that will happen is none of your requests will be granted.

I was told by CRO to make requests on the ressie we orginally had for November at the Poly. I was also told that the room assigner does read them and that they do try to grant your room wishes. We have since changed to staying at AKL and they also took room requests.

We requested a 2nd floor room in the Tahiti in July and got exactly that! So, they do still accept requests and do their best to honor them.
