poly pool!?

did anyone just get that email from tikiman saying that the poly volcano pool will be closed from jan 13 till end of february? i have not heard this ANYWHERE else.. plus my vacay there starts jan 16th!

ok i just called the poly. the pool will be open, but the slide will not be. a little more notice would have been nice rather than a day before it shuts. ugh pissssed....

allears says that the quiet pool is closed for refurbishment during Jan. Did not know about the volcano pool? Surely both pools would not be closed.

i looked at allears rehabs i didnt even see anything about the quiet pool. even so.. im just super upset!

When we were at the Poly last week they had one day where they had to close the slide. They said it was broken and they had to repair it. It was open the next day but maybe the slide had more problems than they knew. That might be the reason for the unexpected closure.

Sorry for the misinformation. I checked allears again. It says only the Volcano slide is closed from Jan. 13-Feb. 28. I would think that would mean the pool itself is open.

Its better to be safe, if the slide is having problems its good its getting fully repaired.

that is true that its good its getting repaired, but will this mean that the whole volcano will be boarded up and ugly looking? im just a little upset because i payed so much money for this trip and to find out just a few days before wasn't fun. im sorry im being so redundant though. i appreciate your help guys

We just had a mutiny in our house. I have been talking about the volcano pool for months now, and my poor DGD is worried that she will not have anywhere to swim. Hope this is not correct.

I just called the Poly. The slide will be closed until mid March. The pool is open.

I don't want to move either. I would if the pool was closed because we enjoy using it, but we can live without the slide.

I say do the slides at TL!!! They are better anyway....the pool slide is OK but after 3 times...its not all that. The slide is not the reason I stay at the Poly. I am sorry you heard about this later than earlier but Jan-Feb seems the BEST time to rehab pools...it just makes sense. Don't worry. You will have such a good time anyway...If I would have got bent about not having a balcony or getting Samoa, I would have not had as much fun as I did!! I say ENJOY and relax! It will be magical!!
