Poly Point Chart Here

My guess is exactly twice the points, probably a booking category in the online system. Adjoining studios are probably all the same category.

Anyone else think that looks like a king bed in the studio?

The brochure says the studio has a queen size bed/queen size sleeper sofa/pull down bunk bed.

Wow. Knew the bungalows would be high, but wow. Can fly to Bora Bora for a week and stay in an overwater bungalow for less than that. Of course seeing the fireworks from a bungalow is going to be pretty spectacular.
Bungalow is same points as VGF Grand Villa:
Updated WDW Point Comparison Spreadsheet including PVB (pdf)

Makes sense because construction cost for standalone building is much higher than a multi-unit highrise (each unit has to have it's own foundation -- over water, it's own roof, it's own insulated walls, it's own utilities, etc.).

I came across this link in an old email I had from when VGF went on sale, so I thought "hey let's see if it's updated with Poly info". Guess what? Point chart is is in it along with floor plans and price per point and opening dues:

Coles notes...opening price $160/point. Dues $6.02/point

Standard studio nightly range from 16-19 points adventure season/31-36 points Premier season

Lakeview studio range nightly 20-24 points adventure/37-42 Premier

Bungalows all lake view nightly points starts at 115-133 Adventure/197-227 Premier

No washer/dryer in the studios. They have a queen size bed/queen size sleeper sofa/pull down bunk in TV thing.

Bungalows have 2 bedrooms/2 baths. Washer/dryer. King bed in master, queen bed/pull down bunk in 2nd bedroom, queen sleeper sofa and pull down bunk in living room.

I'm surprised at the dues - $6.02. I know the bungalows are going to be high maintenance but the longhouses should be low. The thing you have to wonder is they typically lowball new resorts, where will this go?

Holy cow! I was hoping to stay in a bungalow but I swear it's cheaper for me to fly to Fiji and rent a real one.

Crazy but I still can not find it. What page did you find it on? Wondering if its because I loaded this page yesterday.

Maybe clear your cache and cookies. It's on the 2nd or 3rd page into the flip book.

Tikiman posted the bungalow cash prices on facebook. $2,137 (value) to $3,040 (holiday) per night.

Standard studio - $439 to $686
Lake view studio - $586 to $878

Not including tax

Given the price per night on those bungalows, I imagine mousekeeping will be busy cleaning them often, as most people will only be able to afford a couple nights stay. Expect prices to climb.

1439 points for a bungalow during Christmas week, 1450*160= $232,000

Unless my math is off, 50 years of MF's growing at a low 3% (being generous) = approximately $985,000

Would you buy 50 years of vacation in a bungalow for a cool $1.2 million dollars?

A lot of people with a lot of money blow more than that with rack rates for a Grand Villa at Christmas, in which case a timeshare will still save them money in the long run...There was fixed week 52 week Aulani Grand Villa for over $100K resale (worth twice that retail), so yes some people think that's a good deal.

If you can swing that, double it and buy this and live there whenever you want, or year round.

I'll bring sparklers to Bora Bora!

1400+ points for a bungalow during premier season? :scared1:

Am I the only one here that thinks this is nothing more than DVD using DVC to finance the building of cash rooms for the hotel side?

There has to be some truth to it. I've heard people mention over the last few weeks about how building costs have risen so much in the last 10-20 years so the super-high price tag makes sense...except that for most of the property/points, they are retrofitting 3 buildings which is cheaper than knocking them down and building 3 new ones. I can't imagine that it is 50% more expensive to build today than it was to build BLT.

Of all the numbers that got thrown around last night, the dues number really threw me for a loop. That is a massive starting price, especially when you consider that most of the DVC resort there is populated by studios.

should be as easy and quick to clean as a normal hotel room. agreed...

IMO this is an accurate number and BLT and Aulani were set low to make sales.
