Poly/PIT Wailulu Bar & Grill opening date?

Asking the super sleuths on here, has anyone found any confirmation when this is opening? I watched the DVC online promos for a free vacation, and they went into greater detail of the bar and grill (looks great!) but IDK if I missed it or what, but I haven't seen any opening date booking information. Anyone seen a liquor license or job postings to get this restaurant up and running anytime soon? I can't believe we're like six weeks away now. I watch the YouTube videos of construction progress, and it still looks a lot needs to be done, but the cement semicircular seating areas ARE formed for the restaurant, but the rest seems like it's still raw materials and nowhere near ready.

Wailulu Bar and Grill is opening 12/17/2024. Here's the link. I called in the other day. To comment that we have an opening date and not a home page for the restaurant. Keep in mind menu is pending. We would like to book Wailulu in early January. So please keep this thread alive as more information trickles out.

Do we even know if they’ll take reservations (ADRs) or will it be a walk up? We’ll be at the VGF in late Dec/early Jan & would like to stroll over for a meal, but I don’t know if/when I need to hop online for a reservation.

No, nothing has been announced with that level of full detail. They’ve used the word “walk-up” in few pieces of marketing info, but it’s not clear if it’s a casual reference to the bar or meant to be describe the full operation. Could easily just be marketing speak without regards to actual operation.

Personally (and others seem to strongly disagree with this), I speculate this place will operate just like Geyser Point - no ADRs, walk up / join a list when necessary only.

Thanks, I was thinking Geyser Point type operation as well, but I suspect Wailulu will be really in demand initially & thus it’ll be tough to get a seat unlike Geyser Point where I’ve always been able to grab a seat mid day.
