A favorite visit for us locally was to head to the Poly, get a dole whip then watch the fireworks on the beach. Is that still possible? Someone said without dinner reservations we could no longer do that?

We drove over to the Poly one night in May as we wanted to try Kona (but didn't have an ADR). We were told by security that, due to limited parking caused by construction, we had to park at the TTC and take the monorail over. Only those staying at the Poly or those with ADRs could park at the resort. Not sure if that has changed since May.

That was the case for our dinner at Ohana in June. Needed to be guest or have ADR.

When we had reservations at Kona two weeks ago, they checked a list of ADRs before letting us through the gate. The resort is much more congested than usual due to all the construction.

Does anyone know if you take the monorail over, can you get a Dole Whip and head to the beach for the EWP or Wishes or will they check your Magicbands?

I don't think that they would care in that instance.

You don't have to take the monorail either. It is a very quick walk from the TTC to the Grand Ceremonial House and the rest of the resort.

I thought I read somewhere that the dole whip at Poly was gone??

But, would that mean paying for parking?
