Poly or Yacht Club Concierge?

The Poly lounge is bigger, and I'm a fan of the food they have :thumbsup2

We've stayed in both at concierge level and the Poly IMO wins hands down. Much bigger lounge, better view while you're eating and access to soft drinks and coffee machine 24hrs. We didn't like the smaller lounge at YC, there is no view to speak of and they lock the lounge doors between 10pm and 6.30am.

We are lucky to be able to go to WDW a couple of times a year for a couple of weeks at a time and although we have 3 or 4 nights sampling other resorts Poly concierge will always be our home away from home :)

I'm a HUGE fan of the Poly Conceirge! Its been home away from home for my family for the past several years....hands down my favorite resort experience ever at WDW.

Cheers,
Josh

We have done both and while we liked both of them the Poly was our favorite. You can pop into the lounge any time and while they dont have offereings all day long you can still go sit in there and look out over the Seven Seas Lagoon. You can watch Wishes from there or the EWP. We did also like the food offerings better.

Polynesian without a doubt! The lounge is huge with 2 floors and huge windows facing the castle. It's great when the fireworks go off.

Minnie,

We just finished a split stay at both the Beach Club and Poly concierge. (We came home early Friday morning.)

I have ask, "What are you looking for?"

The food and the lounge were far better at the Poly. The view at the Poly was great from the lounge, and from some of the rooms.

However, we loved the service from the Beach Club better. We found the staff were friendlier, more approachable.

The rooms were brighter at the Beach club. Also, the sink was more accessable at the Beach club. At the Poly, the entire bath was in one room, at the Beach, the sink and vanity was outside the bathroom. Also, the beds are actually bigger in the Beach club then the Poly. (they were both Queen beds)

We love EPCOT, so also the Beach club was wonderfully convienent to walk to EPCOT.

Having a magical day.....:wizard:

We've stayed at both and I would have to say the Poly concierge level was better for sure......The lounge is bigger, the food offerings are better, and transportation is more convenient.

I have always thought the 2 beds at the Poly are Queens as well? Are they not? It says on the res they are?

I really like the Beach Club Resort..we stayed there last year for 10 days and In thought the accessibility to Epcot was awesome. But we haven't stayed at the Poly in a few years and we try to 'mess it up' and switch around so this seemed the year to head back there. I have a daughter though that doesn't do the parks so she will most likely use the Concierge service more than any of us so I am considering where the offerings as far as the nibbles go , are better.

Thanks again...

I have not stayed YC so I cant compare. At the poly the lounge is so big, the food offerings are wonderful. I have stayed BC club and it was nice but the lounge was fairly small and I hear the YC is same. If I had to choose I would also look at the ages of people traveling and what park you will spend the most time in. The poly has the monorail but I will say we LOVED being able to walk from Epcot to the BC last Dec it was great.
I dont think you can go wrong.
Good Luck !

Who has the better Concierge level? I am undecided where to stay!!!:confused3

What park do you plan to visit the most?

Kids? No? Either way, Polynesian offers a lounge that you can access almost 24/7 as opposed to the YC or BC which is closed down for most of the time. The lounges at the Polynesian is much larger and has much better offerings. In addition the lounge has a wonderful view of evening events like the electric boat parade and Wishes.

Lounge to lounge the Polynesian is far superior. Staff excluded from consideration as they change from time to time and quality of service can vary.

The rest is a function of which parks you plan to visit, how much you will rely on the lounge and what time you will be in the lounge.

the poly concierge lounge is nicer, but the YC pool is nicer (for us in any case). So we usually opt for the YC. But if the choice is only on which has the better lounge, then definitely the poly.

We've done the Polynesian concierge on 3 different trips and enjoyed it immensely! Here are links to my pictures and comments from those trips:

Enjoy! :sunny:

When you went to the POLY were you ever upgraded? Just asking because I am going in late Sept as a b-day gift for my mom and I booked a garden view, all I could afford.

Hi. No, never upgraded because we had booked lagoon concierge ourselves. I guess the only upgrade they could've possibly given us would be to a suite in the Tonga building which I'm not sure I would've accepted since the BEST concierge views are, in my opinion, from the Hawaii building :sunny: Then again, I might not turn down a suite. lol

Don't feel bad about booking a garden view room at the Polynesian. The entire resort is GORGEOUS and you will have a wonderful time! Honestly, as great as the concierge building is, my favorite part of the resort is the volcano pool and beach area, which is there for all of the resort guests. :sunny: You are a great kid to take your mom to the Polynesian! :cool2:

P.S. Although extremely rare, I have read about people being upgraded to concierge. Just try not to get your hopes up though because you don't want to feel let down when it doesn't happen. Just go and enjoy the best resort on Disney property! :)

Both sets of beds are queens, but the queens in the Poly were just a tad smaller. My husband is 6' 5", and we have a queen size bed at home, and we both noticed the different size of the beds.

The snacks and the lunch offerings were identical in both the Poly and the Beach. The exception was the Poly had gummy whales. With the dinner food and the late night desserts, the Poly had better offerings for the adults.

Maybe they have "California Queen" sized beds at YC :confused3 ("California" sized beds are normally a few inches longer, although they have the same width).
