Poly or POFQ What should I do?

We will have four possibly five going. Me, my 2 sisters, and my two kids. We can all fit in one room at the Poly paying the extra for the adult for 2494.00 with a AAA discount for 5 nights. Or we can have two rooms at POFQ for 1954 for 5 nights with AAA discount. I've stayed at POR and also at the Poly, so I know the difference, I'm just wondering for $540 and the extra room that two rooms would provide, will I miss the convenience of the Poly that much? I'm so confused. Adding to this, we have another mother and daughter who "may or may not" be able to come and I know they won't want to spend the money for a room at the Poly. I have gone with them in the past and shared the cost of the room, but she'd be on her own this time as I'll share with my sisters. That is pointing me toward POFQ. What should I do?

I wouldn't pick POFQ if the main reason to do so is so that someone else who might come could afford it. I would probably go with the 1 room at the Poly, because you cannot beat it for location. Plus, being able to watch Wishes from the beach and then walk back to your room is just the best thing ever!

Have you considered the Contemporary? It would be a little less than the Poly, still in a great location, and the toilet is seperate from the rest of the bathroom. Which is wonderful when you have 5 people trying to get ready in the morning.

No I hadn't thought of that. And it also turns out that my friend is not coming with, so that helps make up my mind. My sisters are both having their birthdays during our trip, 50 and 56 and it will also be their first trip to WDW so I really wanted to WOW them. I'll check into the CR, it just never really appealed to me for some reason. I like the bathroom idea though. Have all the rooms been redone, or only those in the tower?

I would honestly stick with the Poly over the CR. The toilet is in a seperate room with a door but you need to go through the bathroom with sink & tub/shower to get to it. So someone could be in the toilet and someone else at the sink but don't know if someone would want to be in the shower while someone is in the toilet?

I really love that you get the direct Epcot monorail from Poly by walking to TTC. Switching monorails at TTC and taking the monorail all the way around to CR adds quite a long time to the trip.

All the rooms at the CR have been redone and they are beautiful but I think the new rooms at the Poly are more "user" friendly. The CR rooms have virtually NO storage if you like to unpack-other than the closet. The Poly has nice drawers. The CR is also undergoing renovations to the public areas-I haven't kept up with it so I don't know what the status is but you may want to check that out.

With 3 adults and 2 kids, I would stick with 2 rooms at a moderate over 1 room in a deluxe. Not only do you have 2 bathrooms, but you will have room to spread out. Your sisters can take one room and you and your kids can take the other one. I would probably select CSR over POFQ though. It's a more grown-up resort with a great pool. The pool at POFQ is only for little kids, IMO.

A couple of the Poly longhouses also have a double sink outside of the bathroom, don't remember which ones off the top of my head though. The info should be on Tikiman's site.

No contest, I would go with 2 rooms at POFQ. Poly is awesome, so is POFQ! It will be a new experience. However, if you must have a table service restaurant at your resort, better not go with POFQ.
