Poly or GF??

Hi all,

Going to my happy place in November with my 2 best and oldest friends. Which studio room would be bigger and more efficient for 3 women on there 50th birthday get away??

We have seen that the Poly seems to have more storage, but none of us have ever stayed at the GF... Although GF appears as if there is NO storage at all....

VGF studios for November are already gone. You have a better chance at the Poly.

VGF must be booked at 11 months for a studio.

Also, if are a DVC owner who will be using the 7 month window, be aware that even getting Poly, assuming it is open, will likely require that you be online to reserve at exactly 8 a.m. eastern, 7 months out from date of arrival. If you are instead a possible renter looking to rent from a DVC member, you should be trying now to find a Poly owner who is willing to rent and can reserve before 7 months out, or failing that, have it set up with an owner from another resort who will be ready to reserve exactly 7 month out.

As to your original question, either would likely be fine, the studios from both have a queen and sofa queen and the murphy bed that pulls out from the cabinet below the TV, and both a tub with shower and then a separate shower in another room in the bathroom area. The Poly studio is larger but in living room space not much different. The Poly bathrooms are much larger. Storage is a little better in Poly but I would not consider it a major issue with only three. Ultimately, the deciding point likely becomes whether you prefer the theming and amenities, such as restaurants, at GF or Poly.

There are only 47 studios at VGF, and November is one of the most popular DVC months.

I recently stayed at the Poly with my two best friends, too! We really enjoyed having the split bathroom setup (one full bathroom and a second one with an awesome shower and sink). It was very handy for the 3 of us to get ready. I think it's a great choice to celebrate a 50th birthday!

I did a girls' trip last fall with 4 of us in a room at the Poly, the space was great! I've stayed in a VGF studio before and the Poly has way more room to spread out. Both resorts are wonderful. You really can't go wrong either way.

But OKW will have two real queen sized beds and no sleeper sofa in the studio.

I just booked poly today, had to book right at 8am, by 8:02 they were all gone. I still have to call in every day for the next 7 days to keep extending my stay for the full time I am there, kind of a pain but has to be done
