Poly or GF for this fall?

We're thinking of a short four-day trip in September when our kids have a day off school for Rosh Hashanah. Since we won't be there that long we may splurge on either the Poly or the Grand Floridian. I really like the Poly but with the construction, was thinking maybe GF is the way to go this time around. What say the wise Disboarders?

Just came from staying at both last week. GF. Hands down. I like the theme at Poly better but they are going through a lot right now which affects the resort, guests and staff. Just my general observation. I started at the Poly, but ran over to beg GF to take me after four days. I had enough. And it had nothing to do with construction noise. However, you will find many people who have been pleased as punch the last few weeks at the Poly. Depends on your expectations and the luck of the draw.

How long is the construction supposed to last? We are planning for late October.

I think it's supposed to be continuing into 2016?

We just got home today from the GF. It was our second stay. I booked during a discount time and added an orbitz coupon and stayed Club level. I don't know how we'll ever go back to a regular room! We ate a free breakfast every day, had mid afternoon heavy appetizers, free beer, wine, desserts, coffees, liquors, all sorts of snacks and bottled waters, and drinks. And...the concierge made any and all dinner reservations for us via text if a notion hit us while out touring. And speaking of texting the conciege, when we finished our 3 fp+s, we texted them and our next fast pass was set right away. And funny thing...some of the fast passes they gave us, didn't affect our ability to book another one on top of it. It was over the top and beyond anything I've ever experienced. I'm not even telling all the wonderful things cause I don't want to cause a stampede but suffice it to say, it was worth the extra splurge.

Sigh...sounds absolutely lovely! I wonder if the Poly club level has service that's this good?
