hi all. We are going for 5 days and I'm trying to decide between poly and the beach club. We will probably spend 2-3 days at magic kingdom but I know we will need down time with a 14 month old. I love the poly for the monorail but love the beach club for the pool. We will have a car rental while we are there. Any recommendations?

Thanks

I'd suggest BLT as you can easily return to the resort for nap time while at MK with a 10 minute walk. It takes longer than that just to get to the TTC from MK for the parking lot. The little ones love the zero entry pool and the smaller slide while the older kids like the larger slide. There is also a water play area and a sand beach. Also you can use the pools over at the Contemporary too. Easy access to the CR via the skybridge and you can dine at Chef Mickey with the kids.

Seeing as how you specifically asked about the Poly or BC, I'd go Poly if you don't mind spending the extra points. Close to MK, easy walk over to the TTC for a monorail to EPCOT, plus the pool and the new play area at the Poly make it perfect for both the 6 yr old and 14 month old. My 10 month old loved the play area at the Poly.

I would pick the Poly. We love the BC for our older kids, but the pool area is so large I prefer the Poly for your kids ages. I also think the easy access to the MK is great, and being on the monorail with a stroller age child is a huge plus.

We just did a Poly stay with a 3 year old and a 10 month old, express monorail access at the TTC to MK and Epcot was really nice with our double stroller. I agree with the pool comments too.

BCV is my favorite, but in this case, I have to vote Poly. Monorail access is key.

Considering your plans and children's ages, I would definitely do the Polynesian. BLT TPV would be better due to no waiting in line to get back from MK and for watching fireworks from the room. Our little ones get ready for bed real quick so they can watch fireworks! :rotfl:

main pool at Poly has the new kiddie area. Also, as another post of mine indicates, the quiet pool at Poly opens on the 12th of March. Zero entry pool for a large part of it.
Considering ages- MK is so close with monorail both distance and especially time wise. Even with car driving to MK parking lot, it's a pain from Epcot resort hotels. You can always take bus from BC to MK, but it's usually at least a 30-45 minute trip each way depending upon when you catch the bus in the cycle. Could walk to back entrance of Epcot, proceed to front entrance and catch monorail to TTC and transfer to local resort monorail to MK, but, oh my, that's both a long haul distance and time wise.
Having just come back from 9 days at Poly, it was nice to take monorail to MK and to Epcot. There's no bus service from Poly to Epcot. Must take local to TTC, transfer to monorail to Epcot. Don't think there is bus from either GF or Contemporary either based upon how it is at Poly since you can get to MK via the monorail.

I vote Poly. We just stayed there with a 2 year old. Transportation was a snap with TTC not even 5 min walk from the villas. Large room and bathrooms made for a great stay as well. 2 year old loved the zero entry pool and play area.
