Hi All!

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I am taking my partner and daughter to the Poly in a few weeks. They have no idea we are going and I asking for room request advice.

I am booked in a Magic Kingdom view room at this resort. Can anyone tell me which longhouses have these rooms and suggest which longhouse would have the best view? I would also prefer a room with a balcony.

I know what your thinking, there are so many more things then a room with a view that I should be concering myself with, but after a long day, a nice balcony and a nice vew of the castle while drinking a beverage with my partner as our Princess sleeps sounds like heaven to me.

Again, thanks in advance.

Definitely Tahiti - its a bit of a walk from the main building but very close to the TTC for the monorail and boat transportation - great MK views from there!

I LOVE to sit on the balcony after a long day and just watch the world shut down!

We were upgraded to MK view concierge (Hawaii Bldg) in Feb....OMG, what a view! We saw Wishes from our room every night, also the electric water parade which DS8 adores. I think also Tahiti has MK view...have you seen that extremely helpful website on the Poly by Tikiman...that will answer your questions (they won't let us post the link!!!)

The Tahiti longhouse will have Magic Kingdom views and balconies on all floors (well, except the first floor room will have a patio:) ). Tuvalu, Hawaii and Aotearoa (sp?) also have MK views, but Hawaii is Club Level only and Aotearoa only has balconies on the 3rd floor.

I highly recommend the web site of "He Who Must Not Be Named on the DIS." You will find a wealth of information including photos of the views from the various longhouses. We are not allowed to post the web address or the name to help you out - sorry!

Why would they ban him? Seen as competition? I've been on "that" site, but am on the Dis a couple times a day. Is that really why? Just curious:confused3

one of the new rules is you can't ask for money. I don't know why. He asks for voluntary contribution and got banned for it.

as much help and guidance as he has been over the years - especially for the Polyn.

He posted on a thread yesterday. I don't think he's banned anymore. I think he has to censor what he says, tho, that is, regarding his site.

Actually, I was "slapped down" by a moderator for posting how to find "He Who Must Not Be Named's" web site to someone looking for info on the Polynesian and was told I could be banned as well. The explanation was that that web site is "commercial" (just like all of the other web sites we Dis'ers refer others to:confused3 ).

I think the real reason we are no longer able to refer people to THAT web site is that it contains a link to a travel agency that competes with the sponsors of these boards. I can understand their reasoning from a business perspective, but I think it is sort of like Walmart being afraid of competition from a single, small five-and-dime. Just MHO.

Two weeks until we're at the Polynesian (wearing our special wristbands!)

Interesting-well that all makes sense! Either way the Dis is great & I can't wait for my Poly trip. First I wasn't sure if I was making the right decision, but now I'm more excited than ever!
