Hi! I was just curious when I should make my reservation? I'm not going until May 2006 (I know far, FAR away but I want to plan early). I am planning to stay Poly Concierge LV and wanted to request to have a view of the castle and 3rd floor, is this a hard request to fill (meaning is there more of a chance I probably won't get it) also when should I call to make my reservation? (May 2005?, October 2004, when?) I have only gone to WDW when I was very young so I am new to the whole process. :p Sorry if my questions seem silly, I just wasn't too sure how to ask them. :D

I can't tell you how soon to make your reservation. If you are staying LV concierage, they all have a view of the castle. The Hawaii longhouse is almost right across from it. I am not sure how fast the 3rd floor fills up. We stayed on the 1st floor last year due to my children being daredevils! We enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk right out of the patio of our room down to the beach and back without having to go through the hotel. Happy planning!

We just returned from the Poly, LV CL. We requested third floor, close to the lounge, non-smoking. As it was Easter week, and the Poly was completely booked, they could give us a third floor, smoking-optional room, but I have asthma and didn't want to take a chance. They had a second floor room with a gorgeous view of the castle, room #2502, and though this floor doesn't have balconies you can still open the sliding door to get a feel for the resort and take great castle pictures!! And, it was only 2 doors down from the lounge, a great perk!!;)

CL cm's try their best to accommodate you re: your room requests, I'm sure you will be very happy with your room. Prior to your visit, they will send you an itinerary form, with spaces for you to make room requests. Then, when you check in, you can talk with them about your room requests, they will usually give you a choice between the available rooms.

I'm not sure when you should book for 2006. Visit Tikiman's website for lots of Poly info, pictures, etc. It's tikiman2001.homestead.com. Good luck, and happy planning, that's half the fun, IMO!!

I think booking 10-12 months in advance would be fine. I'm not even sure they take ressies for 2006 yet.
