Poly in August AP Rate Question

We are planning a trip to WDW for August 16-22 and would like to stay at the Poly. What is the probability of an AP Discount being released for these dates? Also, if anyone can remember...what resorts were available for these dates last year? Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't usually see the Poly in the discounted AP rooms. If it has been in there, I don't remember it.

Right now the only discounted rooms listed for August are moderates, OKW and Saratoga Springs...but that's a summer thing, ending the first days in August. More may pop up later for the rest of August.

I think that last year they had Beach Club and BWI, but that might have been later in the year, I don't keep track. I've seen Beach Club, BWI, AKL and WL sometimes. Mods/values show up more often than Deluxes, I think.

I don't know about August, but we did get an AP rate for a GV Poly room this past early March.

Last Aug, they had BC (perhaps even YC & BWI, not sure) with an AP discount if you were checking in on Aug 5. We weren't able to check in until Aug 6, so bummer, we missed that deal which was under $200 pn, but we got WL for $130 pn for checking in Aug 6. We were thrilled.

Sorry, I can't remember if Poly was an option at that time.

The Poly did have an AP discount last summer because I booked it. Sorry I don't remember the rate but it saved you 10.00 per night over AAA discount.
I hope they do it again this year.
We always go the last week of August.

$10 is that all, sounds like I won't be changing to the Poly for August after all!

i got poly too - in mid august. i got poly GV Concierge @ a Passholder rate. someone on these boards is an expert on the history of AP rates.

Also, the Beach Club/Yacht Club/BWI rate last year ($189 for standard I thinK) was earlier than Aug. 5th b/c I checked in to the BC for a few nights with it before moving to the Poly...on Aug. 1st.

I think that deal must've been similar to this year's deal. There was the mid-summer, resort-specific deal and then later the across-the-board Passholder deal.

We used the AP rate for the Poly for the last week of August 06. The rate was very close to the AAA rate we already had.
