Hello Everyone!

We currently have reservations for a GV which was made with DVC points conversation paying $95, when I made the reservation I wasn't really thinking and I said the GV was fine, then I started thinking why not upgrade LV? Well I called to upgrade but we would have to pay another $95 which is just killing me because I had the option for LV orginally (slapping myself in the head)! So here is my question what are the pros and cons of GV v. LV?

Thanks a million!

Staying in a GV in a few weeks, so would be able to provide a much better answer then. But from what I've heard, the Poly has some of the best garden views, because it is such a lush property.
The lagoon view-- as with any water view -- is typically considered a more premium view though.

garden view at Polyn is fine.

that say really loved Tahiti - it has a lovely view of the castle - so you could see the firework w/o leaving your room.

I agree that a GV will be fine. We don't spend extra on views and IMO, you really can't go wrong with a GV at the Poly :).

next time try BLT - less points and you can get a lake view or standard room with a view of Space mountain and castle

We've stayed in both gv and tpv rooms at the Polynesian. Of course the tpv room was fabulous but we really loved the gv room we had in the Samoa building. It was on the third floor at the end near the marina. We could sit on our balcony and see the volcano pool and the dock where the water taxi comes. You could see the electrical parade from that balcony too.

Another great gv room we had was in the Fiji Building facing the beach. Great views for a gv room. We didn't have a room on the other side of Fiji (facing the marina) but it looked like thoses rooms had some really nice views too.

Don't worry about just having a gv Poly room - they have lovely gvs.

Thanks everyone, that's what I needed to hear, I can now be content with the GV and save the $95 for the shops and treats!

Our first two Poly stays were LV...fabulous! Our latest trip we decided to go with GV and we honestly didn't miss the view. I was worried that I would be disappointed with a GV, but the opposite was true. We were in Tokelau, 3rd floor facing the quiet pool. Don't get me wrong, the MK view is awesome but to us it's not worth the extra $100/night. We are either at a park or by the pool, which has a great view:thumbsup2 Have a great trip!!
