Hi everyone,

I have stayed at the Poly twice before, but club level so we were in Hawaii. This time we are slumming it (totally kidding!!! ;) ) and staying garden view. I'd like to request a building or two. I checked out what buildings are garden view and it seems like all of them are so what one is your favorite and why?

Thanks for the help! :flower3:

Fiji :thumbsup2

You have your choice of Luau Cove/ Wedding Pavilion side, or Marina side with a view of the CR.

We love Fiji, oh, and it's nearly as close as you can get to the GCH:wizard:

We also love Fiji. We had a marina view and could also see the beach. We could watch the monorail leave the Contemporary and the ferry boat coming and going. It was very quiet and very close to the GCH and pool.

I like marina view at Fiji. But I also like Rapa Nui for the proximity to the parking (if you have your own car), size of the rooms and twin sinks in the bathroom.

We were in Samoa, right beside the Volcano pool w/ a view of the GF beyond. It was really a great location! We were close to the GCH, the pool, the beach, and the quiet pool. The downside was that we were on the 2nd floor & didn't have a balcony. However, it was a bit rainy while we were at the Poly, so I don't know how much we would've used a balcony anyway. But, I'd rather have a nice view w/o a balcony than a parking lot view w/ one.

I'm a fan of Tokelau or Niue myself. Tokelau is located just a short distance from just about everything with views of either the gardens or the quiet pool. There are also a few rooms in Tokelau that have a partial lagoon view.

Niue is nice since it is right next to the GCH, right between both pools. It's also not as well known as Samoa, so you get the locations of Samoa but it's easier to get a room request for it :thumbsup2

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! :thumbsup2

Looks like I have a decision to make. Ahh, what a great "problem" to have :goodvibes

Another vote for Samoa - we were on the 3rd floor volcano pool side and had wonderful views across the lagoon to the GF and wedding pavilion.

Roratonga was extremely nice for its convient location. It doesn't have the best view but we were right next to the GCH. We had 2 small children, so we stayed on the first floor with a view of the quiet pool area.

I totally agree. Sounds like we had pretty much the same room. The convenience to GCH was great, especially with young children. We went back and forth to MK every day and it was nice to be so close once we got back to Poly. I liked being on the ground floor also.

We've stayed in Tokelau and Samoa, each with its own positives and negatives, and there are no parking lot views from either building.

Tokelau--good location for TTC and bus stop, bit farther than Samoa to pool and GCH, all rooms have a balcony or patio, small seating area/lobby on each floor, and larger room size (which was a nice perk for us).

Samoa--centralized location, second floor rooms have no balcony (that's what we got), and the quiet pool side view is not special (also what we got), rooms are smaller than Tokelau.

We loved both and would be happy in either building again. As another person said, Niue's location is also nice, but it was a smoking building before, and that might bother some guests, though I have not been in those rooms and therefore cannot comment personally. Fiji is would be a longer walk to the TTC and bus stop, so if you plan to be at Epcot a lot, that might not be the best choice for you.

But we love the Polynesian so much, we would be happy in any building there.

I like Tokelau...larger rooms...can get a garden view with a view of other things!! :) (Lagoon....beach...depending on room location)

They have completely refurbished those rooms since the non-smoking policy went in, so they don't smell at all.

The Poly has wonderful garden rooms. I have stayed in Tokelau and Hawaii (concierge building) and both had beautiful views. The side of Tokelau that faces the quiet pool even offers a partial Castle view through the trees.

I just booked my 2008 stay at the Poly! :cool1:
