Poly 'fridge?

Does anyone know if all the rooms at the Poly have gotten refrigerators yet? I'm not going until Oct., but was wondering if they're installed. I am staying in Aotearoa, and wondering if I need to request one if they are not going to be ready. Thanks.

They are not in place in rooms but are readily provided when requested upon check-in. We checked in close to midnight recently, and they offered to bring ours right over, even at that hour.

Every report I have read in the last week from people returning said the refrigerators were in the rooms as well as coffee makers. If there are any rooms that still do not have them I am sure they will in the next month or so.

I was in Fiji last week and there was no refrigerator. We didn't need one and didn't request that one be brought over. The coffee maker -- with plenty of coffee and tea -- was there.

We were in Tokelau recently. There wasn't a refrigerator in our room but they brought one when requested. Others did not automatically have them either but got them upon request. It appeared they were removing them when people checked out.

I wonder if the last few reports I just got maybe checked into a room where they just left the refrigerator so it was there when they checked in? I was surprised to hear they were in the rooms because in January people were still requesting them but for free. The couple of reports people sent me in February said the rooms already had them. Well I guess the answer is that if it does not have one you can just ask for one.

Steve: Poly was FABULOUS! We truly enjoyed our time there. As you suggested before we went, we did not request a particular longhouse. We arrived mid-day (moving from POR) and explained to the CM checking us in that we were heading to Blizzard Beach so we didn't need to get a room right away. I explained that we really wanted a balcony (we were paying for a GV, so I was just hopeful for a balcony -- nothing else), so we'd happily wait. The CM was great -- "oh, thanks for telling me. If you can wait a bit, I'll get you on the 3rd floor of Fiji and you'll really like that." Well, we had 3318 which is a 3rd floor room overlooking the marina. We were sooooo happy.

The whole place was just gorgeous. All of the staff were terrific (how many times can you say "Aloha" in a day!). We really had a blast. Thanks for all your advice and for your terrific website.

Hi, we just returned from Poly, 2/16- 2/23. Stayed in Niue (sp?) room 1706, no refrigerator there either. Wish I would have known they'd bring them for free (we last stayed at CBR and paid $10 per nite)! This resort is awesome, the grounds, amenities, staff members, etc.....everything was just perfect. You'll have a great time, I'm certain.
