I've read that they try and put all of the cruise passangers close together in the hotels. Is this true? If you have stayed at the Poly for the land portion of the land/sea what longhouse were you in?

:rose: I did not stay at the Poly when we went on the land and see, but I could answer the other question. In August of 2002 we did this we stayed at the CRB. There were plenty of people there that did the land and see but they were not with us. I did not see these people till it was time to get the bus to the DCL.

When we did the land/sea package we stayed in the Tokelau [sp?] longhouse. HTH

We were in Rapa Nui right near the TTC. Our balcony overlooked the parking lot, but there is so much lush vegetation that I barely saw the lot. We didn't use transfers so I don't know how many others were with us at the Poly.

I cannot remember the name but it was the one next to the central transportation , so we just exited our room, overlooking a garden and walked over to the monorail. I requested that builing and they gave it me even tho we were land and sea. This year when we did land and sea we stayed at AKL because you get a savanah view room on the land and sea package!

Next year, well I am thinking about the swan its so in the middle of everything!

We were in Rapa Nui as well. Nice place and we're gonna stay there again here in June.

WINTERMOM...

My family is going on a land/sea in June and staying at the Poly. I was under the impression that we had no control over what type of room we were given. How did you request a certain type of room? or does anyone else have any info about this?

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: We are getting so excited as it gets closer and closer!!!

:flower1: When we did it at the CRB I aasked upon checking in. They told me if a room was available in the cection I wanted to stay we could have it. We were lucky there was one available.:rose:

I think its true because the people have to go around and get all the luggage out of the rooms....we stayed close to the ticket and transportation center as well...i think they probably stick the land/sea guests all together...but not always in the same part...but im not positive

I requested it through my travel agent DU . When we got there thay put us in another building overlooking the parking lot UCK!

The man at the front desk was not very helpful but when I called back the next morning they very nice and moved us to the building we wanted with a pretty garden view.

This year when we stayed at the AKL. I again requested the floor and trail I wanted through my travel agent allseas. When we checked in the room was just what I asked for!
