POLY DVC Pics (added 11-9-14)

Been a month-any changes/pics?

So it is shingles then? Not grass/thatch roof?

I have posted this before so forgive the repost. :) The bungalow roofs are shingles.

Thanks.

Is that recent?

So odd-that first one still has the exact same amount of shingles as a month ago.

I can't even imagine the points needed for those bungalows :faint: :scared:

Looking from the beach, does it look like the houses have more space in between each one going to the right. For instance, on the left, it looks like the first couple/few houses are very close together but all the way to the right, it seems there is more space between each one.

Maybe it is just the angle but curious.

I think I would cry if I was able to FINALLY stay at the Poly. :lmao:
In all my years since I have been very young, it is the one place we have not stayed and now with DVC, only stay at DVC so HOPEFULLY one day will finally book the Poly! Staying at VGF in September for 8 nights so getting close LOL

Pretty sure they are going to be dedicated two bedrooms, no grand villas. Honestly I don't think they will offer Grand Villas anymore.

Why not? They put them in VGF and they seem to be a popular option for larger traveling groups.

No real reason, just my opinion, based on what I have heard is going in at the Polynesian and the discussion of Wilderness lodge expansion.

They might if they build another larger resort like has been speculated for Fort Wilderness but I do see them at the smaller resorts anymore. Time will tell.

I wouldn't expect them either in any of the resorts they are just converting - although I'd definitely vote to have them at VWL. We'd use them now and then.

But then there's no way I'd have voted for Poly to be converted to all studios. :crazy2:

The square footage and sleeping capacity of the bungalows will be most comparable to a Two Bedroom Villa. Or perhaps the SSR Treehouses if you prefer.

But given the location, uniqueness and added amenities (private plunge pool) of the bungalows, expect the nightly point costs to be very comparable to other resorts' Grand Villas.

Private plunge pool??!! I want to buy in, but have to convince myself it's worth it. That makes it pretty irresistible but well see how the pricing turns out.

No floor plan but it appears the bungalows are under 1200 sq ft. Comparable to a Two Bedroom villa....NOT Grand Villa size. http://dvcnews.com/index.php/resorts/polynesian/2560-so-how-big-are-the-polynesian-bungalows It's entirely possible they have a unique floor plan, perhaps even with a 3rd bedroom (the 3B treehouse villas are under 1100 sq ft) but they simply will not have the space of a typical Grand Villa.

I had read somewhere a rumor that they would be similar to a Treehouse Villa.

Why couldn't they convert six of the WL rooms to GV just like they did at AK? I would love to rent!

A two bedroom isn't enough room for large groups

Went by Sat 11-9-14 if interested.

Shows the railings and hot tubs anyway.
