Hello. I will be staying at the Poly Concierge Level June 2-9 (thanks to the 4-3 deal) and I am EXTREMELY excited. :cloud9:
I have stayed at the Contemporary CL and thought it was fantastic. I was wondering if anyone has opinions on comparing other concierge levels with the Poly's.
Also if anyone has any pics of the food please post.

Thanks so much.
Maybe this will help my excitement.

We will be staying at the Poly CL in Aug for free dining. You'll see it before us- the pics look great though-happy days!!

On our last trip we got upgraded to the Hawaii concierge building at the Poly. we had the very first room when you walked in. The food that they serve is amazing the best wings I have ever had, every time you walk in somebody is there to greet you with Aloha. The rooms were pretty big and the view was amazing. My avatar is the view from our room and the beach was incredibly relaxing. Poly is by far the best experience I have ever had at WDW. If I could I would've stayed in the room the entire trip. Have a lot of fun and definitely be excited about it, it is the best.

We did CL at the Yacht Club and it was awesome...trying to upgrade to Club Level at the Poly for our 3 night stay this month but each time I call they say no availability.

Anyone know if you can upgrade to CL at check-in?

MJ

We are staying CL at the Poly in July for the first time. Sounds like everyone enjoys it. I can't wait!

Let us know how your trip goes in June! Have fun.

I'm curious...what are the benefits of staying on the concierge level?

I'm curious...what are the benefits of staying on the concierge level?
-Planning services to help book dining and other tours (we usually don't use this feature much)
-A continental breakfast, evening snacks, and dessert (at some resorts, like the Polynesian, you can make a meal out of the evening offerings)
-A spacious lounge for relaxing with wonderful views (except at Yacht Club, Beach Club, or Boardwalk)
-Bottled water, lemonade, iced tea, soda, coffee and drinks throughout the day (at some resorts, like Poly, GF, and CR, the lounges are always open to grab a drink)
-A lot of alcohol in the evening (this is where you can get a lot of your money back, if you're into alcohol)
-Typically a better room location than non-concierge (such as higher floor or more central location)

GF is my favorite concierge, but Poly is a close second. The food is very satisfying, and the view from the lounge is perfect - the most amazing view of Cinderella Castle!

We are at WDW now, enjoying Poly Club Level. Last year we stayed club level at the Contemporary. Our family is in agreement that concierge at the Poly is better, but I know everyone has their different opinions about it. We really love the appetizers--especially the aloha pork sandwiches and the ribs! I don't remember the food that much at CR...

We don't use the concierge service much, but I have to say that they are some of the friendliest cast members anywhere. They're very attentive and nice. And most of the time there are 2 of them with NO lines or waiting! :goodvibes

Some tips: you can request some things that aren't "out." For instance, we asked for yogurt and milk and it magically appeared from behind the counter. I heard one lady request decaffeinated Diet Coke for every day of her stay, and the CM's placed an order for it. Other people requested a bottle of water to take to their rooms daily.

We LOVE the coffee machines! You just push a button and can get a mocha, cappuccino, etc. For FREE! I don't remember that at the CR last year, but they might have had those machines, too. We're coffee people...:thumbsup2

Breakfast isn't much, but it sure beats standing in line with everyone else... They have bagels, cinnamon danish, croissants, and various kinds of cereal. Along with milk and juice.

The alcohol in the evening is very nice. You can get a to-go cup and take it down to the beach (right out the door of the Hawaii building). Or you can watch Wishes from the lounge--it's a great view and, again, no crowds! :cool1:

We LOVE the Poly Club Level! :dance3:

While I have no experience with poly. From the descriptions of others I'm totally sold on where I wanna go for my 10th Anniversary. Poly looks and sounds heavenly! :lovestruc

Mickey Palace - Thanks so much for all the wonderful details regarding Poly CL. I can't wait to go. I have a question for you - did you have the concierge make your ADRs or did you do them yourself? How did it work out?

If you have any photos, I'd love to see them!

Thanks.

We will there June 1-8 Poly GVC!!!!:dance3:This is our second club level trip t the Poly-we love it!!!

Thought of another question - Do we absolutely need reservations for dinner at Kona or is it pretty easy to walk in. We have ADRs planned for most nights but want to keep some nights open.

but never did figure out how to post them...

We loved the Poly Concierge...so nice to relax in the lounge.....eat the food!! I don't drink and for some reason my husband wouldn't drink the free booze, the only one who wanted the booze was our 14 year old son, lol, and NO way!!

Turn down service was nice, fresh towels, no garbage and chocolate!!

Plus on check in there was a big chocolate bar, with a photo of The Poly on it and a welcome letter..nice touch!

We were just there 3 weeks ago and did dinner at Kona without reservations. But, you will have to wait 30-45 minutes. It was quite busy every time we went, I would probably reserve.. You could always cancel.

Have fun!!

Thank you for the update!! I cannot wait for my trip.

We love the Poly CL also. We stay there nearly every trip. They have wonderful food choices every evening. Along with what they have for breakfast and snacks throughout the day. They are so friendly and will go above and beyond by just asking. The turn down service is very nice, along with the chocolates they leave at that time. And the large bar with the Poly pic on it upon check in is really cute. We have been there on a couple special occassions and we had a couple special items left for both trips. They do a fabulous job! :)

Thanks.

We used the concierge to make one of our ADR's, but we waited until we were there to do it. It was quick and easy.

We usually don't make a lot of ADR's because my family revolts if they have to be somewhere at a particular time when they're on vacation. So we tend to just "wing it" and it always works out for us. I guess we've been there enough times now that there aren't any MUST-DO's left, so we're not disappointed if we can't get in somewhere.

One of the things we love about club level is that we're never hungry. The Poly is so convenient that we just "base" out of the hotel and snack all day longl... We LOVE those Poly chocolate chip cookies!
