Yeas, I'm back with another question...and I'm sure this isn't the last time, and I thank you all for your assistance in advance. While I'm trying to make a decision finally on where to stay next year(I'm down to BC or Poly) I just read on Disney's site that Poly Garden Concierge is $390, whereas Beach Club Garden concierge is $425. Yet both lagoon view concierge is the same at $470. OK now they have confused me. What am I getting at Beach club that I'm not getting at Poly. Help Me.

Nothing much in my experience. :p

Actually, the afternoon food service at BC had a bit more assortment to choose from. It certainly isn't substantial--just a variety: chips, salsa, popcorn, pretzels, cookies, maybe a PB&J and soft drinks. Polynesian doesn't offer much more than cookies, candy, and soft drinks. Fruit is always available though!

Our preference remains Polynesian over BC--hands down. While Stormalong Bay is an attraction, the concierge floor is not nearly as convenient to it as the Hawaii building (where concierge returns in a bit over one month) is to its pool. Further, the other offerings at Polynesian e.g., Captain Cooks for late snacks, the staff of Polynesian, and the monorail access to MK and EPCOT make it more desirable to us than BC.

We enjoyed our stay at BC--especially the proximity to EPCOT-- but found the room size lacking when compared to Polynesian and we didn't enjoy the lounge service nearly as well at BC vs Polynesian. We like being able to self-serve our soft drinks, water, etc. without asking for it from a staff member (provided one is nearby). Further, the evening service at BC seemed to be the same night-after-night. At Polynesian the menu rotates on a weekly basis.

When we first began visiting WDW, I was convinced that my preferences would have been the GF, BC, YC type of style. Our kids really wanted to try Polynesian when they were little (after a stay at GF) and we've all been hooked ever since!

Both are great hotels--I'm sure you'd be happy with either.

Oh my yes! Family members have stayed at various WDW resorts, incl. BC concierge, and nothing beats the Poly for atmosphere & service! We always stay at the Poly, and many of the CM's now recognize us from past visits. Plus, as they say in real estate: location, location, location! Watching fireworks from the concierge lounge, the parade on the lagoon from the beach, seeing MK lit up at night from your room - unbeatable! And the short trip to MK or the TTC is invaluable if you're travelling with kids or elders. In Dec. 2001 while travelling with our 4 yr. old niece, a brief thundershower was followed by an incredible rainbow that appeared to end right at Cinderella Castle. That view from the pool at the Poly is her "most favorite thing" at Disney World.

thanx you guys, I think you have me sold on the Poly. I'm still a little nervous to try something new, since I was sold on the Lodge....until I had to stay there. I won't let that one bad experience ruin my future trips, though. Thanx again for your help.:)
