Poly Concierge vs. AKL Concierge

We are staying at the Poly LVC for 7 nights this December. DH thinks we are staying in a regular GV room. Big suprise for our 25th wedding anniversary.

I am thinking of adding on an 8th night and staying at the AKL. Will it be a let down to not have concierge for our final night after being pampered for the first 7 nights?

I would like to know if anyone can tell me if we will enjoy the AKL concierge as much as I feel we are going to enjoy the Poly concierge.

We've stayed at both and enjoyed both. We very much prefer the Polynesian lounge. The food was always plentiful whereas the AKL brought out small plates of food. You can't beat the view at the Poly. Will it be a let-down? I wouldn't go that far, just a little different. If you do decide to stay at AKL concierge, you'll be able to book a sunrise or sunset safari which would be a nice touch to your anniversary trip!

Hi, Pat.

We are staying for the first time at the AKL concierge in August.

I adore the Poly. It is probably my favorite resort. Because I wanted to do the sunrise safari I booked CL at AKL (my first Disney CL experience) and already feel so spoiled. The concierge at AKL are the best. Emails are answered almost immediately; requests met and they have even offered suggestions of things they think I might like.

I don't have a doubt that if you go from Poly CL to AKL CL you will not be disappointed in the least. (and yes, JMHO, but if I went CL seven nights I would definitely feel let down not having it at another resort)

We split our last stay 2 nights Poly CL/2 nights AKL CL. Both were fabulous, but I have to admit, AKL edges out the Poly by a nose. I love AKL, and the Poly, and wouldn't have any problem staying at either, or splitting the two!

Can you add the stay at AKL to the front of your trip? Staying non-concierge for the first night might not be a problem since you would be exploring the lodge, watching animals, etc. Then you could move to the Poly and have all the extras of the concierge level. I think I might be disappointed doing it in reverse; plus, the Poly LVC room is SOOO wonderful you might not want to leave (I know I didn't!). No matter what you choose, I hope you two have a wonderful anniversary

I have to agree We will be spending time at both this summer.
