Our family of 5 will be staying at the Poly Concg. On August 5th for a week, heard some disappointing reviews with the change in location was wondering if things seemed ironed out, so if anyone would be willing to report on their recent stay I would be so appreciative:D

Hey, small world. My family of 4 is staying at the Polynesian in a Concierge view room starting August 5th also!

August 3-10 Look for the boys scouring the Poly gardens for lizards! They already had me request a patio room so they could have better access! We'll be in GV Conc.

Your boys won't be dissapointed my 14yo DD had a ball trying to catch one!!

Our stay was great, I think others will agree that the biggest problem would be rude guests. Just ignore and you will be fine.

Best tip, use the parking lot over by Tahiti if you have a car.

We just got back about ten minutes ago. Our trip was SPECTACULAR to say the least. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about the Poly Concierge and the Staff. We were treated like royalty, our room was perfect and everything was in perfect working order, housekeeping was awesome. Everything about this trip was SPECTACULAR. There were a 101 small details that needed to be taken care of for our vow renewal and they were done flawlessly. Everything went sooooo well that I didnt even get the least bit nervous the day of the renewal because everything ran like clockwork. Our renewal was NOT at Disney it was at Leu Gardens but the concierge staff managed to get all my appts set up like a dream. I had a nail appt, gown steaming, hair and makeup the day of the renewal, and they even had a club car up and ready with a staff member to take us up to the front of the hotel to meet the limo.

We did not run into any rude guests at all. Everyone was very friendly and talkative

The food was pleantiful and good. I dont have a thing about people making it a dinner instead of a snack so that didnt bother me at all. Neither did people coming to the lounge without shoes on. I figure their feet are nowhere near the food so why sweat it.

We were so impressed and so happy with our stay that we will be going again next year and I am writing a letter to the concierge manager informing him of our wonderful stay.

I'm so happy to read a positive review! My family leaves in 10 days for Poly Concerige and reading a good post helps a lot espically, when there have been so many negative comments. I plan to post a trip report when I get back! I hope everyone has a great stay!!!!

There did seem to be more rude guests there this year. Ignore them.

The staff is very good. We had a problem with the smell in the room and they took care of it immediately.

Tahiti is very conveniently located. Good tip about parking in the Tahiti lot. :D There are also plenty of lizards especially on the walk to the TTC.

I have read in a few places where people said concierge guests had brought in outsiders to the lounge area...how do they do this? How do these people know they were outsiders...does it do any good to report them?

It is good to see some more positive reviews now!

They just walked in with the concierge guests directly up to the 3rd floor where the lounge was or on their own with a key their friends must have given them. Tahiti is a larger building than Hawaii was and we were there during a very busy time so I'm sure the staff didn't notice.

How did we know they were outsiders? The man that was staying concierge level was in the lounge telling his friends "the staff won't make your dinner show reservations along with ours because you aren't concierge-level". The kids were also asking their parents if they could just take their food back to Samoa so they could go to the pool right after dinner.
