My husband finally agreed that we could book concierge up front (we upgraded while at the WL last year, and I think he is now sold). Yipee!

Does anyone have any advice regarding which of these 2 resorts' concierge services are better? We have two little boys if that makes a difference (i.e., they won't be eating anything fancy).

Thank you in advance for any guidance!

You have truly not experienced concierge until you've been to poly. i have tried every concierge on property and poly wins hands down. from the services provided to the food in the lounge (for kids-uncrustables, gummis, cookies and even choco milk!) this resort wins hands down in the concierge dept!
they are amazing!
:smooth:
plus..if you've already stayed at wl it will give you a chance to try a new resort!

Thank you so much for the info!

So am I correct in thinking that the Poly has a more extensive food selection than WL? I think I have read somewhere that the WL concierge is a scaled-down concierage and that's why I was wondering about the Poly's.

WL offers full concierge. It has been reported that the Poly's offerings may be a little more extensive but we have been quite pleased with WL during our stays.

They have the breakfast in the morning, snacks, wine and cheese-which is more than wine and cheese and desserts and cordials in the evening.

The typical wine and cheese hour consists of one hot entree, a soup, vegetables and dip, several types of gourmet chesse and crackers, pb and j uncrustables for the kids, etc.

TigrLvsPooh recently stayed at WL Concierge and did a wonderful trip report. Maybe you could do a search for her name and WL Concierge and see what comes up. :sunny:

Wilderness Lodge did not have concierge service available until a couple years after it opened. Then, they basically took some chairs and rope and blocked off the seventh floor. Personally, I think WL concierge is a waste of $$. There isn't a lot of value.
The poly has some amazing features. One of my favorite features was the food every night. One night was some awesome sushi, another was crispy spring rolls. The staff was very accomodating. (They even remembered how much I loved choco milk and brought it out when they saw me coming.
check out tikiman's website for some more benefits of the poly
