Poly Concierge and WDW Travel

Well, we modified our vacation plans a bit for April 2003. We were scheduled to stay at The Poly, concierge for our complete vacation. With a bit of coaxing, we have now booked a cruise out of Port Canaveral, no not The Disney Cruise. We will be staying at The Poly, concierge upon our return to port for 4 nights.

The question:

We have always booked through Disney Travel, Disney Club. With the pricing we received from our travel agent booking the cruise and Disney as a package, we booked The Poly, concierge with them. Does this lessen the possibilities of requesting and receiving room and floor requests? Can we still contact concierge and take advantage of priority seating? Will concierge contact us or should we contact them?

I am not too sure if some of these perks were a result of booking with Disney Club or opened to all guests.

If you have concierge booked, then you are entitiled to all the perks of concierge, regardless of how you booked the reservation.

you can go ahead and contact concierge if you wish, or wait and see if they contact you, usually concierge doesnt contact you til 2 months before your vacation, sometimes even closer.

maybe your travel agent can even contact concierge for you, and have them get in touch with you.... just a thought

Thanks Princess Angel…..I thought that would be so. I think my concern is room assignments. We have booked Lagoon View so I am not too picky but would like the 1st or 3rd floor. Having booked with Disney Travel in the past all my requests, minor as they are, were met. Maybe it’s just plain old “good customer service!”
