Tikiman said:Just my 2 cents .If you are that worried and stressed about any resort than switch now, otherwise you are going into it with the wrong attitude already.
I will also say that if you want to stay at a resort that does not have plumbing issues, rude CMs, lost luggage or any other problems than you might have a tough time finding one.
Sorry if this sounds rude, I just think you should be staying somewhere you are excited about before you go.
Thank you for the response(s) and I realize that things that may happen to one person may not happen to another, which is why there are different opinions to share.
We are always excited about returning to WDW, which is why we go back time and time again. The Polynesian has been a dream resort to me for so many years which is why I have been following all the threads regarding this resort. I have stayed at several Disney Resorts and lucky me, have not encountered even the slightest problem.
I plan on having a magical vacation no matter what....I just want to have a back up plan just in case the worst scenario happens.
The Poly is a beautiful resort and I am very much looking forward to seeing all that it has to offer.

I read this same kind of stuff about GF right before we stayed there for the first time. The chief complaint had to do with snooty CM's. But in our experience the CM's were over the top nice, to the point they made our stay even more magical. I tell you this because I don't want you to change resorts. Give Poly a try for yourself. You might be pleasantly surprised. And if something does go wrong, ask that it be corrected on the spot. I am sure they will accomodate you.
. If my toilet doesn't flush... who cares!! I'm in Disney World!!!

Even a bad day there is better than a good day here!
