Poly Club Level Question

The vision in my head is of a large amount of very hungry kids cleaning up on all the offerings, so when I stop by for a morning coffee and bagel I'll have some serious competition. I am thinking that I need to rethink my idea of what "club level" entails. When we did CL at the WL, it was always pretty quiet with just a few people at a time enjoying the lounge. I guess I always thought of the CL lounge as a place where you could drop by and have a continental breakfast or a relaxing snack. But, the thought of hungry football and hockey players who "eat constantly" definitely makes me think twice. This is not meant to offend anyone. I think my idea of what constitutes CL may be inaccurate.

Seriously?? :rotfl: I'm sure there will be plenty of food left for you! :rotfl:

I've stayed concierge several times at BWI and YC and there were always families with little children and teenages, in fact, I have 2 teenagers, and there was always plenty of food for everyone. No competition for food, either. Lots of families who stay concierge also have full meals at the WDW restaurants, and some even buy the dining plan while staying concierge (present company included). The younger kids might sit and have a snack and watch tv, but the teenagers usually get their snacks and go.

OP, have a great time at WDW this Friday!! Let us know how you enjoy your Poly CL stay. :goodvibes

Agreed...it's always been self-serve for us at the Poly. :thumbsup2 There are CMs available behind the "bar," but they weren't serving.

This was in December, 2011. It could have been that there was a recent virus outbreak? I know on the Disney ships and other ships that if they've had the norovirus recently, self serve is no longer an option. They had two CMs's behind the counter and it took forever to go through and get what you wanted, esp. if there was someone in front of you who was indecisive.

Thanks everyone. We did switch to the Poly. For the record the "big" boys will be feed lunch and dinner outside of the CL food. The CL is only a support to their regular meals.

They can have whatever they want! This is part of what you paid for. The food at the Poly is more plentiful than that at AKL and IS replenished. We had issues at AKL with the adults being impolite but never with the teens or kids and I never saw that behavior at any other CL lounge at WDW anyway. There are no signs out saying you can only take one of each item or listing a limit. I've travelled with hungry teen boys before and have been jealous that they can eat so much and stay fit.

Ick! On both accounts!! Hope it was just temporary at the Poly. That sounds annoying.

We have stayed at GF, Poly & Contemp Club Level. Poly is the one that has the most "ethnic" flair to their food.

Like you the Club Level offering are important, I have 3 kids, and 2 of my boys are hockey player too....THEY CAN EAT !! When we don't do the dining plan, we do make sure we have a really good breakfast, lunch in the park and then dinner is usually something from the lounge it seems to work. We have stayed in Poly Club Level 5 times (6 coming up in a few weeks).
