Poly - children's activity center questions

I learned today about the Children's Activity Center at the Poly ... a Peter Pan/Neverland theme. Since DS3 and DS6 both enjoy playing Pan and Cpt. Hook, it might be a great opportunity to let them have fun there, while the wife and I get out for a quiet (!) dinner to ourselves.

So, is this CAC only for the guests at the Poly (we'll be staying at POFQ), or is it open to all WDW guests? The Disney website advises that it's for ages 4 and up, and that kids need to be potty trained. How firm are these rules? DS3 is just beginning potty training, and we don't know if he'll be done by June. Will the age and/or diaper issue hold us back?

Inquiring minds want to know!

I believe they require proof of age for this. Due to insurance purposes they make sure they kids are 4 y/o.

Absolutely no diapers allowed - and if your child has an accident - they will page you to come get them to get them cleaned up. Has to do with health restrictions. Also - the age limit (4 yo) has to do with the state's mandate for number of care-givers per number of children - and they just don't staff enough to care for the under 4 crowd (Plus the all-important insurance).

On a positive note - if you are over at the Poly and want to let your children run around in the Neverland club for a while - Supervised by You - they are open in the afternoon (I believe it's 1 - 3p - but I would double-check) and there is no charge to check out the facility at that time. Just let the CM at the front desk know that you and your kids want to check out the club - they don't ask for IDs or anything at that time - because you are with them and responsible for them (there is only one CM during that time). Hey, it's airconditioned and it's free!

If you still want a "quiet" dinner, you could get an in-room babysitter - Disney can help you arrange that too.

Have fun in June!! Jill

i think it was 12 - 4 but dont hold me to that, calling is a great idea.

they are very strict on the potty training thing, however they have never asked for proof of age the three times we have been.
we had our 3 yr. old son who was very tall for his age and completely potty trained with us and they took him because it
was only 30 days till his 4th b'day and his sister was 6 at the time.

not sure what they would do for a child that is "almost" potty
trained, I am sure some might still have accidents...but wouldnt
want to be called back in the middle of dinner.
