Poly & bus travel to MGM, AK, BB & DD?

We are staying at the Poly (next week!) and I was wondering what to expect from the buses. We are actually flying into Daytona Beach for a few days and driving to WDW. I am still debating whether or not to keep the car on-site. It will be me, DH & DS 2yo, so we will be taking mid-day breaks. I'm not sure I want to ride the bus 30+ min back and forth from MGM, then have to do it another day to finish the park, or see the parade.
Any info/advice would be appreciated! We leave Thursday! YIPPEE!

The bus service is ok, but keep in mind that the Polynesian shares a bus with the Wilderness Lodge and the Grand Floridian. The Polynesian is the 2nd stop being picked up and dropped off. What my DH and I did last year was drive to MGM in the late afternoon. We found that the crowds were a little less and we usually found a great parking space. It seemes bus service to MGM was the slowest. Also, I recommend driving to the water parks. We did this too, on ALL of our trips. We always went to the water parks either very early in the morning or around 3pm. But we always drove. I think if you take a bus to the water parks from the Polynesian in the morning you have to catch the bus at the TTC, which isn't far, but still, you have to lug all of your stuff with you. So I'd defintiely keep the car around. We always took the bus to Animal Kingdom. I don't recall a problem with that bus.

Just got back from the Polynesian (5/12 - 19). The buses were ok, but if you have a car I would keep it! Especially if you have a little one. Those buses can get hot & crowded! We ended up waiting around quite a bit this last trip for the buses to fill up.
