any more news on the issues they were having with AC and noise under the unit with pipes?

I was there a few weeks ago and spoke with one of the CMs. He told me that they had done some work to the piping and that it had been repaired. I didn't stay in a bungalow that trip, but if it is repaired, then hazaa!

On the other hand, I know there's very little that they can do about the boat horns. I'm unsure how light of a sleeper you are, but a lot of DVC Members have complained that the horns keep them up at night. Might want to bring ear plugs either way.

Wow, so I spend between 115 and 227 points a night so I can get blasted by ferry boat horns and listen to the pipes bang... What a deal!!!

I didn't notice any pipe banging; however, the boat horns start around 5:00 am. It's the ferry more than the smaller shuttle type boats and noise travels further over water. Some of the boardwalk rooms are noisier at night and in the evening with the late-night crowds.

The "pipe banging" noise is due to the fact that the rooms are lower than the septic system for the resort. The system collects waste below the room and when full, sends it uphill to the resort septic plumbing. I noticed that it appears the the new CC cabins have septic tanks/system of some type.
