Poly breakfast/transportation question

We are staying off site, but just a mile from maingate. We like to be a the park gates before opening, but I would really like to try the Tonga Toast they serve at Kona and Captain Cooks. On the day we go to MK, I thought we would try an early breakfast at the Poly. I'm thinking that we would not be able to do Kona b/c I think they open at 7:30, and I think the first Monorail leaves there for MK around 8:00, correct? If we didn't make the first Monorail to the MK, how often after that do you think they run between 8 and 9am?

Or, since its the Tonga Toast (and Kona coffee) I am most interested in, we could get counter service at Captain Cooks. Is it terribly crowded there around 7:30 or 8:00am when the MK is opening at 9:00? Is their Tonga Toast any good??
