Poly beach and Wishes music?

Do they pipe in the Wishes music anywhere on the Poly beach? Is there a better spot to watch it from there?

Last August, they piped the music into the speakers by the pool areas. I could not hear the music on the patio of our room (Hawaii Bldg. 1st floor lagoon view). I am sure that if you sit at the tables by the pool bar area, you would be able to see and hear Wishes.

I know someone will say that the music is no longer piped into the area along the beach but it is. It is just turned down for some reason. You have to sit right next to the speaker to hear it. The speakers are in the lights along the path. I am told it is louder over near the pool so you might try there.

Thanks so much! We also have an Ohana dinner planned and thought we could walk out onto the beach afterwards to watch Wishes.

When we were there in October, there was no music coming out of the speakers in the lights. There is however at least one other type of speaker near the beach by the Hawaii longhouse that my DH discovered a couple of weeks ago. It is low and dark and across the sidewalk from the beach if that makes sense. My DH put chairs around it for our family and we could hear well.

The music is much louder closer to the GCH.

There is also a speaker over closer to the bar area where you can hear well.

We were staying at the Poly when they were testing Wishes (Sept 03) and you could hear the music from all over the beach area. When we were there in August 04 you had to sit right next to the speaker to hear just the faintest sound of the soundtrack. It was very disappointing. It was so great when you could hear it permeating the air. I wonder why they have it turned down.

This is really getting me AMPED UP about our trip! 2 weeks from now we'll be at Chef Mickey's and then heading back to the POLY for pool time, Wishes and bedtime
