Poly Animal Towels ?

Does the Poly still do those animal towels in the rooms? Anybody see any lately?

If so was it a regular room or conceirge?

I get them every now and then, it just depends on who your housekeeper is. By the way I usually stay in a standard room.

We had towel animals every day on our first 3 trips to the Poly in a regular room. We came back each day to find monkeys swinging from leis off the canopies, alligators slithering across the floor, wildebeest standing guard on the daybed, love birds hanging out on the lights in the bathroom, etc.... I'm sure you get the effect. Anyway this last trip we had no animals at all. Instead of DD 4, being upset she decided to do cute things for our mousekeeper. Every day DD would arrange her stuffed animals in cute positions around the room. These animals held the mouskeeping tip envelope of the day. We had just as much fun finding new ways to surprise the maid as we did finding towel animals on our past trips. Getting towel animals is based on whether your particular mousekeeper knows how to do them. It isn't "done" at the Poly anymore then it is "done" at the other resorts. If you are lucky you might get some. If not, it isn't so bad either.

The only WDW resort we ever got them at was the AKL. We got one--a duck on the vanity olding a tootbrush.

That's in about 40 trips to WDW over the years.

We had them on DCL every night. It was cute, but certainly not the highlight of my day.

We got them only once while staying Poly concierge.
Last week while I was on a crusie we got the every night.

We received animal towels w/ stickers on them everyday during our last 8 night trip to Pop Century. It really was a big deal to my kids...ages 7 & 9. I wish they could train all the mousekeepers to do this, because it's a special treat for the kids.

We got back from the CBR on Feb. 5th after a quick 5 day excursion. I left 5 dollars a day and a only received 1 towel animal with stickers on the bed with all the kids stuffies looking at this new family member. It was very cute and a nice touch. Sad only happened on 1 occasion. We took the towel animal home with as my two children couldn't part with it.
