My family is in the planning stages for a trip to WDW next year. We seem to be stuck between Poly and BC. Some want Poly , some want BC.:confused3 Can anyone help sway us one way or another? Is there anything really great about on vs the other? (or really annoying for that matter?):)

BC/YC has Stormalong Bay, the gorgeous themed pool area

The Poly is on the Magic Kingdom monorail and easy walking distance to the Epcot monorail. It has a nice beach area and, IMO, more of a resort feel than the Beach Club. The rooms at the Poly have also been recently renovated.

I'm sure you'll love both - both are in great locations.

Here's a tidbit of info that might sway you toward BC: We are staying at the Poly in November. When the discount codes came out last week (first Disney Visa, then Annual Passholder, then General Public), I called every time. Nothing was available at the Poly, but the BC was always available. I guess that says that the Poly is more popular, but to ME it says, go with the BC and you're more likely to get a nice discount.

I know for me I prefer the POLY because of the monorail access. The majority of our time is spent at the MK and EPCOT plus I have a small child. If your children are older I'd lean towards the BC.

Both are lovely hotels with great amenities. :thumbsup2

We are staying at the Poly in October. I am so excited. But, BC looks great too.

I don't think you could go wrong with either. They both have such great pluses. I love the monorail at the Poly, & 'Ohana. BC is great because you can walk to Epcot, & MGM (if you don't mind a brisk walk). If you don't mind a split stay, why not do both?

Both are great resorts with great amenities. The Poly has always been enormously popular. My decision would be to lean toward the resort that is closest to where you'll spend most of your time. Being able to get in and out of the parks easily is a huge advantage, IMHO. The BC is surrounded by some other great resorts, offering a chance to try their restaurants and services. And Stormalong Bay is a great advantage. The Poly is exceptionally well-located and has beautiful grounds and amenities. You can't make a bad choice here! :goodvibes
