Poly and AKL refillable mug ?

Can we use the mugs at Kona for coffee in the mornings? And where all can we fill them up and is it self serve like POR? We loved our refillable mugs at POR in the past. But this year we are splitting our trip between Poly and AKL, and I'm wondering if we should invest in mug's at both places. So any info about AKL mugs and where to fill them would be great also. Thanks.

At AKL they sell the refillable mugs at Mara's and that is where you refill them - self serve!

I haven't done the Poly mugs yet, but I'm pretty sure that you can only fill them at Captain Cooks, not the yummy Kona coffee! I know at the Contemporary, you can fill them at the Food N Fun Center or the Sand Bar, not the good coffee at the Coffee Bar. The coffee for the mugs is the same at all the resorts - the instant Nescafe stuff.

We split a trip b/w AKL and Poly in Aug 2001.
We bought two mugs at AKL and two mugs at Poly to split between the family. It worked well for us.

Mugs and refills are at Mara in AKL. Mugs and refills are at Captain Cooks in the Poly.

we split time between CSR and AKL last year. we purchased our mugs while staying at CSR and used them at AKL as well. We were told when purchasing them at CSR that they were good for the length of our stay. We did incur only mild hesitence from the staff of Mara at AKL but were allowed to use them afterall. this was may 2002; don't know if they still will allow this.

Thanks! Would have loved the coffee at Kona, but that is okay. I think we might just buy 3 at each resort, they sure can add up. But I do use my mugs at home and LOVE them.

I don't know about Poly, but when I stayed at AKL we had a room on the Zebra trail and it was extremely convienant to go to Mara to refill. Also Mara is next to the pool, so if you are going to spend time at the pool, bring your mug.
