Thought it would be interesting to poll this topic because I see this come up every time the new schedule is released. There are always some sad people. There are always some mad people and there are always some huge fans. Where are you?

We just booked a VGT rate for December because it seemed like a very reasonable price! I think for us waiting for those *gt rates will work better due to the significantly higher pricing when they release the dates.

Silver and booked our "turn us gold" (5th) cruise for 2019. I'd like to use a *GT rate to go before then if it works out with schedules. Maybe summer 2018. We shall see.

Other -
Wanting to book my first cruise but 2018 cruise dates dont fit my schedule, waiting for 2019 cruise dates. Price fits my budget but just not the 2018 schedule

I answered that we are Platinum with no future cruise booked, but we also didn't see the value in it right now but will likely book again someday. So I guess we fall into two of the answers.

What is DVL?

Disney Video Library? Are we not talking about if we purchased a Disney release when it was in its "silver", "gold", or "platinum" release from "the vault"? I was wondering why there was no mention of diamond status.

Gold, no new future cruise booked. Can no longer stand to book the same old itineraries! I'm Bahama'd out (mercifully, the last one is coming up Friday)!! I have a credit to use by Aug 2019 that I think is going to expire. The only thing I'm interested in is a NYC to San Juan if they offer it again in Nov. 2019 (the dates didn't work for us in 2018). If that doesn't happen I may have to get my character fix at WDW.

Silver with future cruise booked but we expect it’s our last.
We have a 2019 booked back on RCL.

We have no problem booking our cruises far in advance, so we book them when opening day prices for Gold CC members open up. This is what we did; for our upcoming cruise in 2018. It was nearly a year and a half out when our TA booked the cruise for our Norwegian Fjord and Iceland cruise.
I am amazed at how quickly the prices increased over the months and there is no way I would ever pay the current rate.

Due to life’s circumstances, needing 2 surgeries in short order, we have booked more 4 night cruises than we ordinarily would. These are not the typical type of cruises we prefer. One is the DVC Members Cruise which I always enjoy.

I'm in that "big" percentage above - silver, booked. But I honestly have to say that I'm not sure what we'll do in the future after that. If DD had her way, we'd only ever do DCL for every vacation we go on. DS would be fine on any line. DH and i will be choosy about other lines but don't need to be DCL-exclusive. If I had to guess, we book a place holder just in case, but we end up taking a many-years break until we can do the specialty cruises / off-season. DD is going to be heading into high school after the one we have booked (OMG, that JUST occurred to me :scared:), and it just gets harder to book the ones that aren't ridiculously overpriced, high season. Plus we had a hard time committing to next summer when we booked b/c of extracurriculars, and that's only going to become more of an issue. I can't even imagine trying to book 2019 now, but I'm not paying a premium to book a last-minute, high-season, nearly-sold-out cruise either.

Platinum with a future booking for 2019.
We cancelled our Sept. 2018 British Isles due to the arrival of our 3rd grandchild, my daughter in law will be going back to work right before this cruise and I told her she could count on me for the baby and had nothing to worry about so, we cancelled it. I can go to Europe another time, Grand babies grow so fast, our other two are 9 & 7 already.

I'm in the larger group of Silver with another one booked. Our first cruise was in 2010, so you can tell we don't cruise that often. In fact, we weren't planning another one for quite a while, but we found an itinerary we were drawn to, and remarkably it looks like it's during the only 2 weeks that college-age DD could possibly travel so we booked it. Sadly, we booked it late so aren't getting to enjoy the opening day pricing. We have really enjoyed our DCL cruises, but in general will only book if we find the itinerary interesting, and we won't be booking one or more a year, either. There are other places we want to visit and other kinds of trips we also enjoy. It's tough to book a cruise since the dates have to line up perfectly with our schedules, so we'll probably be silver for quite a few more years at least.
