Our first day in the parks is going to be at Hollywood Studios. I can't decide what to do for lunch, the Sci Fi Dine In, or The Brown Derby with preferred seating for Fantasmic. Help!! (yeah. seriously. I REALLY can't decide!!!) I'm on the Deluxe Plan, so the cost of the restaurant isn't really a factor.

I enjoy both restaurants for different reasons.

If I had to choose myself, I'd pick Brown Derby in a heartbeat even without Fantasmic seating. The food there is great.

Sci Fi is fun, but it doesn't hold a candle to the food at Brown Derby.

If you don't already have the fantasmic dining package booked for a trip that is just over 2 months away, I doubt that will be an option for you. If you have it booked and are deciding whether to cancel it, I haven't eaten at the Brown Derby, but I've heard it is really good. I'd probably keep the Fantasmic package.

We are donig both over the couse of our trip, but if I had to pick one it would be Brown Derby. It is on our must do list every year. YUM!!

Brown Derby with Fantasmic Seating...we've done the F! seating 4 times since they cut back on the number of shows & love getting there 45-60 minutes before the show & getting a seat (2 of the 4 times the seats they were already putting people into standing room only area at 60 minutes out...only seats left were Fantasmic reserved. The other 2 times, the general public seating was gone at 45 minutes.)

But as someone else mentioned...are you sure you even have a choice? The F! bookings are often gone 5-6 months ahead of showing.

Yes, I already have the Fantasmic package booked . I was just reconsidering since the Sci Fi is so much fun..but it looks like i made the right choice

I would try to do Sci Fi. That's my opinion. The food at Brown Derby is not appealing to me. I would try to book it ASAP. expecially if it is day that Fanstamic is playing one time that night. Book the package. If you don't you will have to get there close to 2 hrs before the show starts to get seating anywhere else.

I'd pick Brown Derby. The fact that you're on the deluxe plan, have the FDP, and it will be your honeymoon all work in BD's favor. And the food's better there anyway.

I enjoyed the food at BD Sci fi I didn't car for at all, I went to BD on the dining plan and was glad I did
