Poll: Would you do Cal Grill without the view?

OK, I've wondered this for a while:
If it wasn't for the view from the California Grille (and the chance to watch Wishes from there), would the food be good enough, considering price, for you to go there?

Absolutely yes. We do enjoy the view but actually try to avoid Wishes.

We all love the food and service. I also really appreciate that there is so much variety on the menu compared to many signature restaurants these days. Between sushi, appetizers, entrees and flatbreads, all six of us are happy campers.

To be honest probably not. I would try it again, but it wouldn't be high on my list. I wasn't really wowed by the menu.

We loved our experience at Cali Grill. The food is excellent and our server was fabulous. We were having problems picking out a bottle of wine, he guided us through and helped us pick one out, then followed all the little details about pouring a glass, wiping it, and having the label face my husband. We were impressed.

There is a view, what???? You can see wishes from there? Just kidding. We plan on returning during our next trip in september 08

I love Cali Grill, even without the view. The food is great and the service is always good as well. Now don't get me wrong the view is fanastic, but I would still eat there without it.

The hectic atmosphere, due to the view and Wishes, is actually a deterrent for us. I would prefer having the restaurant without the view.

I couldn't agree more. DH is so sick of the Wishes Only crowd that I have trouble convincing him to eat there again. I just try to tune that out as best as possible.

Heck yeah! We always book our ADRs at opening so we never see the fireworks or the traffic it causes. We always request the wine room. It's quiet and romantic. It's a tradition for us. We love the California Grill!!

Thanks for all the responses to this question. The results are pretty surprising to me as I expected more people to say it wouldn't be worthwhile without the view. Glad I asked.
