I do - the wife- My dh loves Disney as much as me but trusts me to handle the planning while he is out earning the $$$. I love when we get talking to his friends or family about Disney and he starts bragging on me about how cheap we got our room and all the stuff I have planned. Of course that is all thanks to the Dis but I stand there and take all the credit LOL. I always include something for everyone and I know what they all like so they trust me. Both my sisters decided to go recently so I've been helping them navigate the Dis and other boards and plan there trip. It is soooo fun for me, almost as fun as Disney itself. I planned our 04 trip and dh was highly impressed.

DH. When I met him he liked Disney but that was about it. 17 years later, he is the Uber Planner! I can just sit back and relax - he always does a great job :cloud9:

I'm usually very laidback with travel plans and willing to go along with whatever other people want to do, but not with WDW. I get a manic gleam in my eye when working on the Plan, and I've made clear to the whole family that I know much better than anyone else could how all of us can get the most out of our visit there, and if they leave everything to me, 1) everyone is going to have a fabulous time and 2) nobody's going to get hurt.

So far, it's worked beautifully! :sunny:

:) I'm the planner - but we go so frequently that I'm not obsessed with planning every minute of every day - not really into the structured vacation. I'll loosely plan ADRS and cancel if I need to and we'll plan around EMH.

Doesn't matter if it's a Diz trip or a trip to the doctor's office. I'm the one who does ALL the planning...AND gets all the blame if something goes wrong. ;)

I"m an obsessive planner by nature esp. when it comes to Disney!!! :rotfl: My DH doesn't want to take part in the planning at all-he just tells me to let him know what days to take off from work and he'll be there.....

that would be ME, the wife and mommy. Although, I do give the rest of the family options. I often ask them "would you rather" questions to get their input before making the final itinerary.

For the last 2 trips I did all the planning. My DW wants nothing to do with it. She trust that I will do it right. All DW does is suggest what dinner ressi's to make.

Its a joint effort but dear wife does the typing, organizing lists and we both decide on the when where and how. I make all the ressies and tickets.

I'm too late for the survey but, I do. I'm the wife and the mum, planning the next Disney trip keeps me happy during the year. As a matter of fact, I start planning the next trip on the trip home. "Hmmm...let's see what resort will we stay at next year", I don't think my family understands this phenomenon, but they are always happy that it happens, it's one of the constants in their lives :surfweb: .

That would be me, the Mom, the Wife, the MIL and the Nana of the group. I check out all of the restaurants.... refer to the DIS... make the ADR's, check the parks, refer to the DIS...schedule activities....refer to the DIS.....make changes....refer to the DIS.....refer to the DIS......

Me Me Me!!! DH just sort of shows up. I do ask for his imput, but it's up to me!

Our planning consist of when we're going, where we're staying, how we're getting there and MAYBE an ADR. That's about it though. :confused3 We just figure out what we want to do when we get there...we're very spur of the moment people.

I guess my take on it is, every day, I have to leave my house at a certain time, be at work, at a certain place at a certain time, pick up my child by XXX time, have her in bed by 8:30, have to go get this and this and go to Wal-Mart on Saturday... :sad2: Why oh WHY would I want to do that on vacation too! :confused3 The one time I can relax and do what I want. :cool1:

I think I must have a mild form of OCD because I have actually planned a Disney vacation down to 15 minute increments. Didn't come off, of course, but I really did have a spreadsheet, color-coded and all. I need help, someone help me :rotfl:

ME, ME and ME again. My theary on why I'm always the one planning our holidays is this, if something doesn't meet everyone's expectations then everyone can just blame me because I'm the one who planned it. But so far my track record is impeckable but I just know one day something will go wrong and I'll act like I don't know anything :rolleyes1

I am doing it all. Kids have no idea we are going and hubby is going only out of guilt (feels bad if were to miss the kids first trip). Get this, hubby does not like Disney World! AACCCKKK! What a crime! I am hoping he gets doused with pixie dust this trip. pixiedust: I have been planning and planning to hope that the trip is awesome and he can't help but love it. :cheer2: He is truly going into it with a Grumpy attitude though. :maleficen
