I am a woman of many talents!!! I do all the planning, booking, DISing, scheduling, packing. I pick restaurants, rides, days we go, where we go, why we go.....I always ask for input, but rarely get it, so they know to follow me or get left behind!! hahaha!!!

I am doing it all. Kids have no idea we are going and hubby is going only out of guilt (feels bad if were to miss the kids first trip). Get this, hubby does not like Disney World! AACCCKKK! What a crime! I am hoping he gets doused with pixie dust this trip. I have been planning and planning to hope that the trip is awesome and he can't help but love it. He is truly going into it with a Grumpy attitude though.

This sounds like my FIL on the first family trip DH (then BF) went on in 1994 with his Dad, Mom and Sister. FIL wanted to go on a cruise (I would have gladly gone to WDW in his place, but they were having a last family vacation) and FIL was cranky/downright grumpy up until he saw the castle at MK, then my DH said they couldn't hold FIL back . He's hooked now and they go about every other year. FIL/MIL are going with us in Dec, so we can't wait!
Here's hoping that some of the pixie dust will work it's magic on your DH . I already know your kids will be thrilled with their surprise!

I love it. I do let DH think he helps pick things but really it's mostly me....

I think I live to plan vacations, I try to plan everyone's, I think when my kids are all in school I will quit doing daycare and focus on being a travel agent... maybe for Disney(I would love that!!!)... LOL

Well looking at the poll results it seems if the wife never planned the vacation then the family probably would not take one....
My DH has never planned a trip for us- we have been married 32 years!!

Now who packs the suitcases?? My Dh actually mentioned helping me pack..like that's gonna happen He does haul them out to the car, guess that is his packing.

When we do family trips, my mom and I (21), pick out everything. Dad just insists on eating at the Brown Derby, and he's happy. Currently, my DF and I are planning a trip, and we're both picking out things!

I do but I AM a travel agent! I get input from hubby on where he'd like to eat but it's entirely up to me on where we stay and what we do! But I have to give in and drive the trip instead of flying b/c he refuses to fly!

I plan the resort, where to eat and depending on where, which parks we will be in, and other activivites. I like the days planned out in advance.
This year got my wife and DD6 a Cinderlla's Castle breakfast. I also was lucky enought to get an Illuminations cruise for the four of us. Me, Wife, DD6 and DD1.5.

I do. One of my favorite things to do is to plan vacations. Sometimes I wonder if I should have been a travel agent.

Haha, people tell me that too. Except I only want to plan MY trips, I could care less about other people's vacations lol.
