Trying to lighten the mood about going Friday a.m. because i am getting a bit anxious! Sound off - who will be there???!!!

I'm currently booked to stay until next Tuesday.

Trying to decide between:
1) Trying to change my flight to fly out either Friday or Saturday
2) Riding out the hurricane here, and trying to make my scheduled flight on Tuesday (but I am very worried it will be delayed or cancelled)
3) Staying on for a couple or days more beyond Tuesday (to avoid the possible chaos of MCO and delayed/cancelled flights)

Going to sleep on it tonight and maybe I'll have a better idea in the morning...

We are! Bringing one suitcase full of water. And my sister's boyfriend just handed us MREs giving us serious instructions how to make them last a week!

My trip was originally Wed-Sat (here now), but got notification my American flight out was canceled at like 8:30 PM tonight... which is interesting for a few reasons...

So I booked a SWA flight same date. If that gets canceled, whatever, more Southwest credit for me. Then I'll probably take the free change w/ American and move to a super early AM flight on 9/9. I actually kind of would like to extend my stay, but I... originally wanted to go home Saturday night and still do.

Blegh. I'll see what the word is tomorrow (today!). I still need to call American about the flight cancellation, but I'd like to see if this SWA flight gets dropped or what first.

Also, OP, for ~lightening the mood~, ever since this Irma nightmare descended upon us, I just keep thinking about the scene from The Devil Wears Prada -- where Miranda is demanding Andy get her on a flight home during a hurricane.

I am going, and the more I see from the models the happier I am going to be. I am going to guest relations as soon as I touch down today and seeing if I can get my Sunday MNSSHP ticket changed to tonight. Missing the party would be the only thing I would consider disastrous to my trip. I also extended my trip so that I have Tuesday, Wednesday and part of Thursday for some magic. Because if this thing keeps tracking east Orlando is going to be spared most of the major stuff.

Yeah, MCO was not exactly consistent last night though - their Twitter refused to confirm it was closing at 5 PM Saturday. I didn't rebook earlier because of the inconsistency. And then,

which is cool because all, or nearly all, airlines canceled Saturday flights past 5 PM already. Like both of my flights
This morning I rebooked for 4:35PM SWA on Saturday, and just got an email that flight's been canceled too!

So, despite wanting to go home according to original travel plans, I may be partying at Pop (like it's 1999).

We will be there! Flying in Sat morning- staying at port orleans that night then driving the rental car over to the Poly to check in! I REALLY don't want to cancel this if I dont have to!
