I have a bad habit of hopping on the scale each and every morning at the same time. Does anyone else do this?

I don't consider it a bad habit. In fact I get on the scale as often as possible. To me it is important to judge how my body handles certain things. After a long workout I get on the scale. If I am up I am actually happy. if I am down that means I did not drink enough and I am dehydrated. If you live and die by that number than it is not good to check very often, but if the scale is more of a cause and effect monitor than it is fine to check often. Have a little fun with this...Step on the scale to start and then have a large meal and get on again. Then every half an hour for 3 hours or so get on again. This helps you to determine how your body digests. Try it with heavy foods, salads, snacks, or just a lot of water.

I do "weigh-in" every Friday morning and that is the number I "count" when judging progress.

I'm an every day gal myself. What else is there to do while waiting for the shower to warm up? ;)

Guilty! I know they say you shouldn't weigh every day, but it keeps me on my toes and lets me know if I have been eating too much and that I need to get back on track!

I'm so glad there are "every day"ers out there!! I really do use it as a monitor and dont often let it discourage me. Actually when i see it down i use it as a motivator to have an even better day!

Every day, but I am a bit of a nut. I also take my resting heart rate every morning to watch for signs of overtraining.......:scared:

I don’t own a scale but am pretty sure I can pinpoint my weight to within about 3 pounds because it hasn’t changed in about 4 years.

I'm too obsessive to own a scale. I haven't been weighed in over a year.

Always weigh in every morning...but Friday morning is also my "official" weigh in. Same routine every AM.....
1. make coffee
2. let dogs out, while drinking coffee
3. Visit "little girls" room (TMI...I know)
4. Turn on shower
5. Weigh in...if I like the number, then jump into shower
6. If I don't like the number.....weigh in again and again.
7. Third times a charm!

DH thinks I'm crazy to weigh-in the morning after a huge cookout or the morning after we return from our Disney vacation, but it's the only way to keep myself in check!

6. If I don't like the number.....weigh in again and again.

I have been know to do this too!:rolleyes1 You know if you expel all the air in your lungs until it hurts, you can go down .2 lbs! ;) On some days when I wish to be below a certain number and I am right at that number that .2 really makes a mental difference!
