We're booked right now for the San Juan to PC repo Feb. 2019 on the Wonder. It visits St. Thomas and CC. Just looking around and was looking at a 4 night Very Merrytime cruise on the Magic leaving from Miami Dec. 5, 2018...It visits Key West, Nassau and CC. These two cruises are roughly the same price for us. It's myself, my wife and our son who will be 7.

Which one would you choose for a 7 year old? I'm kind of thinking I want to do the Christmas one just because Christmas is so magical to them at this age. We're not planning on taking another cruise for a while after this one so I'm wondering if we should do the Christmas one now while he's still young...I'm so torn!

Also if anyone has been on a very Merrytime on the Magic and wants to share their experience or pictures please do so!:)

Personally I would do the merrytime... its a cruise plus all the Christmas stuff after all! If you are into Christmas why not get more bang for your buck and an extra day?

Me too. I would pick the Merrytime cruise.

We just booked a last minute one for us for this December. We want to see the Holiday decorations and Santa.

Never been on a Merrytime Cruise (the only one that would fit with my school schedule would be over Christmas - IF I'm lucky - and H. E. Double Hockey Sticks to the NO on those prices), but I vote for that one just because I love Miami!

Hubby and I's honeymoon cruise overlapped with Christmas. It was downright magical. I'd easily choose that!

We did the Merrytime cruise on Thanksgiving week several years ago and had a great time. The kids loved all of the added holiday activities.

Personally, I would pick the San Juan repo because I want to go back to San Juan. The Old Town is so charming and I want the kids to experience kayaking in a bio-luminescent bay (hope that hasn't changed with the hurricane). Also, it's been several years since we've been to the WDW parks, so would want to do that.

We did the Merrytime out of Miami before. It was great - loved seeing the Christmas tree on the ship and on Castaway, and making the gingerbread house was fun. You can't go wrong either way. :)

Very MerryTime. Because I have no desire to have to fly into (or out of) San Juan.

Although, I'd like to do the Wonder again (haven't been on her since her re-imagining).

For me, part of it depends on where you live. I'd you're in a cold area of the country, I'd do the February cruise, it would give me something to look forward to when it's cold. If you're in an area where that doesn't matter, I'd do the merrytime cruise.

With a 7yo I feel CC and St John are far better ports than Key West and Nassau. While we love Key West, our DD was a teenager before she really appreciated it, CC on the other hand she loved it since her first visit at age 6.

I would pick Merrytime as I am not sure how put back together San Juan and St. John will be in February.

Another vote for Very Merrytime cruise! I did one last December and loved it! Very festive!!

I love St. Thomas and San Juan so I’d pick that one. I also think a break in Feb sounds nice. But can’t go wrong either way.

We did two Christmas cruises back in 2002 & 2003, they weren't called Merrytime cruises that long ago, but The Magic was decorated so beautifully I loved it. Our kids were 14 & 10 then and we have the most awesome pictures from those cruises.
Now I can imagine its even better. I say do the Christmas cruise, the activities they offer are so memorable.

Have fun!

Another vote for Merrytime cruise. We have taken three, never on the Magic but I am sure it is as beautifully decorated as the other three ships. Our favorite time to cruise!
