Yes I would pay to play vmk... I only hope it isn't to much as we don't have much money

Yes. In fact, here's an e-mail I've sent to VMK Contact Us, and a bunch of other addresses:

I am writing you today to ask that you do not close the Virtual Magic Kingdom. I was saddened and truly disappointed to hear yesterday that you are ending our virtual park. I could go on about how great is VMK. About all the fun I have walking and playing in a virtual Disneyland. I could go on about hanging out on-line in a safe and positive environment with other Disney fanatics. I could talk about the friendships I have made and the Disney themed memories I will always cherish.

But I think I will keep this cynically short and simple. Any on-line venture costs money. I am a 35 year-old adult with no kids and I daily use my Disney Platinum Visa card. Because of VMK I still have my DLR Premium Annual Passport, and since joining VMK two years ago I have gone to the park on an average of once a month. I've purchased literally dozens of VMK Pirate Pins boxes and had planned to continue buying them. I had purchased and would continue to purchase Disney DVDs just for the VMK Movie Rewards. I would love the opportunity to buy packs of VMK Code Cards like baseball cards.

I would be willing to pay a monthly or annual fee to play VMK.

I know VMK was created to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland, but I urge you to reconsider your plans to close VMK. Think how great it will be to celebrate DLR's 100th Anniversary with VMK's 50th!

Sincerely,

If it were reasonable.

However, the $80 yearly fee for Toon town or Club Penguin is crazy!
I can always go back to Sims 2

I am (and have been since yesterday) considering it. I don't want to just say yes right away, but I'm too stinking hooked on the game to say no, I wouldn't pay to play it.

Not only would I pay to play VMK, but I would NOT pay to play Club Penguin, Toontown or POTC.

In other words, Disney, at least in the case of my family, could easily make money with VMK, but not with the others. It's not a trade-off situation as far as I'm concerned...for us, it's either VMK or we don't play any of them.
