I was thinking this morning while brushing my teeth, different ways of rinsing.
So, how do you rinse after brushing you teeth?

You're bored, aren't you?

Well I generally rinse with the toothbrush and spit out the water.

I use my cupped hands to put water in my mouth, swish, gargle, and spit.

I had a housemate in college who would swallow after brushing and not rinse... :scared:

Do you remember the movie "The Big Easy" with Dennis Quaid and Ellen Barkin? I loved that movie (because Dennis was so cute). But there is this scene where Ellen has been at a murder scene, then she's back at her house with Dennis and she throws up, then brushes her teeth...Dennis does something romantic and she runs into the bedroom with him to ... be romantic. It has always driven me CRAZY that she didn't rinse her mouth (or even spit) in the whole teeth brushing scene!!!

OK, I have been told that I totally screwed up and didn't put some options that are obviously very important to some people(read people who have a cat in their signature)
I should have added:
use their hands
stick mouth under the faucet

And I seem to feel that there are people out there that don't understand how you use your toothbrush to rinse your mouth.
1) brush teeth with toothpaste
2) run toothbrush under water
3) brush teeth with toothpasteless tooth brush
4) repeat steps 2 and 3 a couple times

Yes, I have a cat in my signature... :rotfl2:

I cup my hand and use it...and then I spit the water out.

I have phone hang-ups (no pun intended) and actually had to call Caro to clarify what in the world she meant by using her toothbrush to rinse her mouth. For those of you who know me and my phone issues, you know what a big deal that was. :scared: :woohoo: I truly had no idea that people did this. :rotfl:

My DH used to stick his mouth under the faucet, which bugged the buggers out of me. Finally, after 24 years of marriage I snapped and I gave him a cup. Took probably a week of me reminding him for him to remember to use the cup...   Yes, I'm serious. Tell me who has issues. :rolleyes1 ;)

you will notice that 5 people, besides me have responding that they use their toothbrush! So, I'm not as bizzarre as you think!

I voted 'with cup, swishing and spitting' but I need to add to that. For some reason I always have to take a sip or two of water right after spitting; don't know why, it just doesn't feel right if I don't.:confused3

That wasn't my first choice of words, but I didn't want anything else of mine *poofed*. I'm going to try and be good the rest of the month and the month just began. :sad2:
