We are flying into Vegas in June en route to the Grand Canyon. WE would like to take in a Cirque Show. Obviously, Zumanity is out. We are a family of four - 2 boys ages 10 & 12.

(Had to repost since I messed up the poll.)

DW and I would split this vote; I liked O better and she liked Mystere. She hasn't seen Ka yet. O is just so cool - a water based show. Superb.

Just my .02 :)

those are all great shows we both loved them.. but i voted for "o" but we loved all of them

I have seen Mystere and Ka but not O. I liked them both but if I could only pick one, I'd pick Mystere. Excellent show and the pre-show is fun too!

Hi there!
Wow, that's a tough one. I did see both, O and Mystere, but I think my personal favorite is Mystere. I loved it so much! The music was awesome and stayed in my head long after the show was over (we bought the soundtrack, even). I was just in awe. O was incredible, too. But, maybe I liked it a little less because our seats wern't as good?? (We had balcany).
My suggestion is that if you do go to either show, to get the tickets as soon in advance as you can. I don't remember how early you can get them though--sorry :guilty: . Have fun with whichever you choose.

Have you checked which days the shows are "dark" or on hiatus? That might narrow down your options.

We saw O in LV last May while we were there, it is the only Cirque show we have seen in LV. I really liked it, my DH did not. I just thought the whole premise of the show was cool with the water and all.

Hi,
I just wanted to also throw out a show at the Wynn called Le Reve (which means The Dream, I believe)! It totally reminded me of a Cirque show, you know, very strange, but very neat to watch. I have not seen O, but I"ve seen Mystere and I liked Le Reve and Mystere equally. I also love the showroom for Le Reve, totally circular, not a bad seat in the house!

My mom just saw La Reve at Wynn and she loved it too, as much as or maybe more than the Cirque shows.

I've seen all three. They are all wonderful. However, if you are only going to see one, and with the ages of your boys, I think KA is the best bet. Here's why:

1. It it technologically amazing. The stage, the set, the costumes--it is jaw dropping. I think it's the most impressive to boys.
2. There is an actual story that everyone can follow. The other two have a "story" but it's really hard to understand, and frankly, I'm a smart person, and I gave up about 1/3 of the way in. KA is about a brother and sister who are seperated and have to find each other--all while going through some very scary things:)
3. The music is the best of the 3
4. I cannot stess the just utter amazingness of the production. There are scenes that make you tear up becuase they are beautiful and unbelievable--just wonderful.

Now, one argument that people have about KA is that there aren't as many human feats of coolness--this is true. They aren't as many contortionists (sp?) or crazy people flipping around etc. It relies on the humans interacting with the set to make the impact. Also, there are slow parts in all 3--it isn't exciting the whole time. KA is the most expensive of the three as well. I would suggest Mystere after KA, because of the boys, but O is pretty darn cool as well.

I hate to give anything away, but I could PM you to give examples:)

I've seen all three and would recommend them in the following order.
O
Ka
Mystere

I have seen -O- twice, Mystere and KA each once, and I think La Nouba 3 times. If seeing one, -O- for me. KA's description above is right on also. They are all so good, so unique. Also, a hint, the upper level is thought to be best in all the Cirque shows as so much happens up in the air, as well as on the walkway between the lower and upper levels. If in the lower, you are having to look up and behind you to see much of the show. I had lower once, much prefer the upper. You could not go wrong in any of the shows, enjoy.

We've seen all three of the Cirque shows in Las Vegas. I've seen Mystere three times, "O" twice and "Ka". Mystere is our favorite, but "O" is fantastic, as well. If I had to choose one, it would be Mystere. I like everything about Mystere - it's just fantastic. My son was 12 the first time he saw Mystere and LOVED it. He is 19 now and would tell you that Mystere is his favorite.

The beauty of it is - you can't make a mistake, no matter which one you choose.

Have fun!

That's what I need to remember. I think my boys would love any of the three Cirque shows. LeReve looks interesting too - sort of like a blend of Cirque shows.

What about Zoomanity? Anyone seen that one yet. It looks bawdy.
Just watched the trailer - very sensual. They won't allow anyone under the age of 18 into the theatre. So this one is definitely out for my boys.
