I meant to post a poll with my last question. I couldn't figure out how to add one later. Sorry!

So CM or GG?

Thanks!

The food is better at GG, IMO.....but CM's is more fun.
I would go to GG.

I felt the opposite. We love CM but GG was our least favorite meal overall on our last trip. I think all restaurants have good/bad days, servers, etc. Go with whichever is more convenient to your park schedule.

We have never done Chef Mickeys. We had a great time with good food at the garden grill for DD's birthday. Chip was so funny, he wrote over a page in DD's autograph book about Dale.

I should add that we aren't really looking at food quality here as much as we are character interaction and fun for the kids. Each child gets their own character meal on this trip.

Thanks!

I don't recommend the Garden Grill at all. We went last December and didn't have a good time.

First of all, the food was terrible. All of the food on the family platter they bring to the table was very bland. No flavor at all. Only my DD's food was decent and therefore, DH ordered a child's meal for himself.

Mickey mouse was out of character and only spent a minute with our table. Chip also seemed to be in a bad mood. Dale and Pluto were great though.

Service was pretty good. I did not like the rotation of the restaurant as when I got off, I was off balance for a few minutes.

We also had to wait at least 15 min. for our table even though our ADR was for 3:40pm and many tables were empty.

I did not care for Chef Mickeys either, but it was much better than Garden Grill.

Chef Mickey's is my vote! The food is so yummy and the characters are wondeful. Every time I go there I get great pictures with all the characters. Your family will have a blast there, it's so much fun.

Anymore votes? Chef Mickey's fits in better with our schedule. Is Garden Grill still better with that consideration?

Thanks for all the help!

Meg

GG menu is extremely limited. If you have any picky eaters, you may have problems. CM is a buffet with considerable selection. I also think you have to do the napkin twirling thingey at least once.

Thanks! I think I've made my decision. Chef Mickey's it is. We were thinking we'd do two meals for the kids, the rest would be our picks. Each kid gets one meal. The buffet really makes a difference for this family of picky eaters.

Thanks so much!

Meg

We ate at CM 10/26, and thought the food was horrible. I really enjoyed my salad and desert. The rest of the food was awful. We were all really disappointed.

This would be for breakfast at CM.

I personally like the menu at GG, but I think for our kids and our schedule, CM is going to be best. They're noisy, active types anyway and I know they can find something at a breakfast buffet that they will like.

Thanks for all the advice!

If you are looking for character interaction....then definitely CM!! So much fun there.

I have to say that we absolutely LOVED Garden Grill during our May trip. We had a 4:30 dinner and Chip & Dale, Mickey & Pluto were all over us during our entire meal. They were absolutely hilarious - Chip & Dale kept trying to steal our shopping bags, Chip "proposed" to my sister, Dale "proposed" to me and even grabbed me out of my seat and walked me around the entire restaurant. . .we must have taken about 75 pictures from that dinner alone! I could go on and on, but my point is that it was great and we'll definitely be back. I think it made a difference that we had an early reservation, because the place was nowhere near full. We loved the food and had a hilarious waitress named Cheryl - she interacted wonderfully with us and the characters too! The picture in my signature is from that dinner!

We also had breakfast at Chef Mickeys and loved the food there too. Characters were great, but they did seem a bit rushed (except for Goofy - my favorite!). . .we'll be back here too, though. . .I loved the atmosphere and that cute music they play and I have to have those Pluto's cheese blintzes! :teeth:

If I were to pick one? I'd go back to Garden Grill for a very early dinner! :teeth:
