Poll Posting

Maybe this is an obvious answer but how do you post a poll? I know there is something at the bottom of the screen below the options section when you hit new thread but nothing ever happens when I check off the box. Can someone please tell me how to post a poll? There is nothing else that I can find about poll posting. Can I just not do this or something or this is easy?

• Click on the box for post a poll, and click on submit
• You'll get a screen to post your poll choices
• Enter question and update the number of options
• Enter your options (tab to the next field
• Check whether your want urls to show up as links and if you want a limit to days on poll
• Click on preview or submit
